So I managed to complete the Key Keeper Coin Purse for the Amy Butler Sew Along just under the wire! What I learned – I still need to work on zips. I thought I’d worked out the sort of tabbed ends to the zipper that I’d seen on other people’s blogs, but alas, still a fail. Never mind though, it still zips!
I made the large teardrop bag to match it as well, and both are out of the Amy Butler Soul Blossoms line:
My happy mail came in the form of the Japanese Fabric Swap dropping through my door – isn’t it pretty?
There’s some really fun prints in there, including glittery ones. I think I’m going to use some to make myself a cushion for my sewing machine chair :o)
Sorry Kristina, still no bag yet :o(
Pretty Amy Butler colors. Jack could take some friends and have a picnic in your large bag. Maybe they could put their refreshments in the small one. Looks like your sewing machine has enjoyed some attention. Look at all the pretty things!

Very lovely bag, I need to get that Amy Butlers book. Still no bag?? It looks like I'll have to take a walk to the post office! I don't understaind what's taking so long, it's not like I'm from another planet. So sorry…
Hi LT,
Lovely purse and such beautiful fabrics. You are going to be a very busy seamstress. (o:
Hugs, happy weekend.
I LOVE the purse and bag! They look wonderful. I've been wanting to buy the Amy Butler bag pattern book for a while, but dare not while I've got bears I must make first. 🙁
Thanks all. Kristina, don't worry about it, honestly, just thought I'd give you a quick update. I'm down at my mum and dad's for a couple of days now, so hopefully my flatmate can answer the door to the postman while I'm here.
Sue, honestly, shouldn't you be making Hugglets bears rather than reading blogs? ;o)
Your set looks great! I've got a zipper tutorial coming up later this month, hopefully it'll help you. Thanks for linking up!
