October Wrap Up and Sew Bee Joyful Block Finish

Today I’m linking up with Lynne over at Lily’s Quilts for Fresh Sewing Day and a summary of my October finishes.  

First of all, before I chuck it into the mosaic, I thought I’d show you my Sew Bee Joyful block for October, which I finished last night (so technically still October, right? ;o) )

October Sew Bee Joyful Block
Charlotte had asked for traditional British boys’ toys, preferably paper pieced, and this is what I came up with.  Seriously, I have to stop with the wee fiddly bits!!!  This is probably why you shouldn’t teach yourself how to paper piece ;o)
Anyway, on to the finishes for the month:

    Oh Katy – I LOVE your rocket. It would be worth me learning to paper piece just so that I could make your rocket. Gorgeous makes for last month and await a completely pink one next month!

    Great paper piecing. Now you've inspired me to want to try some paper piecing this week. I also don't know if you had the notebook blog background last time I visited, but I like that, too!

    you are working on tiny triangle in each patch, like the contrast you put the big and the small together.
    apart from your quilting work, miss your bears too.
    looking forward to hear your bear show bits and pieces too.
