I actually ventured into the newly created space earlier, and made my very first HSTs for a couple of blocks to send to Quilting For Kids. These are made using the 2 squares RST and cutting on the diagonals method, and I was very pleased to see the points are almost perfect. So there you go, I mastered a new technique on the last day of the year, it’s never too late :o) Oh, and I’d just like to say that the bargain £100 Tefal iron that I got for £33 in the boxing day sale is working absolutely perfectly for seam pressing!
Happy new year all, hope you have a wonderful Hogmanay, and lang may yer lum reek…
nice! they look awesome!
I'm spending the last of 2011 sewing too 🙂

Ooh, I like that method for HSTs — I just wish I could figure out what size they'll turn out so I don't have to trim them afterwards. :> Good job getting that iron on sale!
Nice points! Love the grey and white. I hadn't heard of that method before, off to google it now.
Thanks for the Hogmanay wishes!! I like your half triangles, they're very clean and crisp! A very happy Hogmanay toyou too.
Happy New Year!
The big question is: did you tidy up after yourself? Is your space still brand spankin' new and beautiful?
Your HSTs are just lovely. This will be a beautiful block!
Already so much going on in that still clean (?) sewing area. HSTs any other way are too much work right? Perfect job 🙂
See, I told you a clean and organized room would be the ticket. Don't ever doubt this old lady. Happy New Year to you and may you have a wonderful Hogmanay and lang may yer lum reek as well. ;o) Hugs

HSTs look fab, is it sad to say that I'm impressed by your iron too?! Happy new year x (see you in June!)
