Yay WIP Wednesday is back! Boo, it’s back to the day job. Oh well, you win some, you lose some ;o)
So for my finishes this week:
My tote for the Finish Along (we’ll ignore the fact that I’ve since discovered one handle is twisted, I had a nightmare trying to get the tension right on that bit for some reason!):
Granny’s Christmas scarf:
Currently in progress:
Mum’s skirt, for which I got the muslin done tonight, so it’s ready for the fitting in 2 weekend’s time:
To Start This Week:
My rainbow windmill cushion! It’s my reward to myself for getting the above 3 done :oD
The Sew Happy Geek QAL – the first 2 blocks are posted now:
The Japanese x and + blocks for the swap.
Linking up to Lee over at Freshly Pieced :o)
Looking forward to seeing the cushion! That's a delectable rainbow of yumminess right there!!
Twisted handles are stronger! :>
How nice of you to make a skirt for your mom!
I believe you have my mailing address. February 1 is my b-day, so I am a purple girl, and violets are my flower.
I promise to act surprised. Giggle.
Hugs
Projects coming up look like they'll be beauties!
Rainbow cushion? *ears perked* Looking forward to seeing that AND your Japanese x & + blocks!
Just so you know…you are truly an inspiration and I am still trudging along with the purple/turquoise Guatemalean fabric kingsize bedspread….I'm buggy but I will be like Scarlett O'Hara and announce "I'll never be (poor in her case) lazy and put things this huge off until forever again". I swear on my pile of 30 year old fabric.
You leave me feeling weak at the knees. Working and all that sewing.
Hugs
Kay
I am still finishing bee blocks due Jan 15…then i will start the + and x blocks. I have so much to sew it is ridiculous
Granny's scarf looks so soft and cuddly. The last two photos are so bright and cheerful. Looking forward to seeing the rainbow cushion, that sounds lovely.
What a start to the year! Now where did you get the fabric for your bag??
Twisted handles have more character! Your granny will love her scarf! You're so organised with your projects!
You certainly are a busy bee. I love the fabric for the tote! What's it called, where did you buy it?
I love to see people ticking items off their list. such fun!!!
I love that comment – Twisted handles ARE stronger.
I haven't even gotten the mess from the holidays put away yet so haven't started working on any projects and after your progress report I'm feeling like I may have snail DNA. I think I'll just watch you being creative instead of doing anything myself. :^)
I'm on my way over to raid your fabric stash. Loving all that colour!
I love your beginning blocks. Would you mind sharing where/what kind of fabric you are using? I love it! Thanks so much.
