Phew, how many link ups can you do in a day? Well let’s try for 3…
It’s a Fresh Sewing Day with Lynne over at Lily’s Quilts. Looking back at January, it wasn’t a month full of finishes so much as a month of progress:
I’ve been participating in the SHQ QAL with Jenna over at Sew Happy Geek. I’m completely up to date on them, including yesterday’s (which I finished last night). There’s 5 more blocks/weeks to go, and once I’m done the top will be going to Kat for Blankets Of Love. I’ve also got my 2 bee blocks done for the month, an Owl for Colby for Sew Bee Joyful and an anglepoise lamp for Deborah for Piece Bee With You My completed projects consisted of granny’s scarf, a tote and something I’m not actually allowed to show you in entirety, so this sneak peek will have to do! I also completed a Kindle cover for dad and a couple of Japanese x and + blocks for the swap , plus got my sketch done for my main item in the FTLOS swap.

Finishes this week:
My 2 Bee blocks for the month:
In Progress:
Block 7 from SHQ QAL:
New bag designs:
I started to make a new rush job item last night, it’s cut and fused, and I’ll hopefully share pics tomorrow night.
I’ve also picked up some things I needed for my FTLOS partner for her small item, and the fabric is winging its way here.
No Progress:
My rainbow windmill cushion (waaah) – okay, I could have worked on this on Sunday, but my bag mojo was flowing stronger, and on Saturday night I ended up feverishly drawing overly angled lamps (and a couple of other failures)
To Be Worked On This Week:
Rush job from above
SHQ QAL block 8
Piece Bee With You February block (aiming for no procrastination this month!)
I’ll be down at mum and dad’s for the weekend, but I may get mum’s skirt done when I’m down there – we’ll see…

Oh I LOVE your exercise – running up and down the station stairs – you nutter! I have to have that lamp block so do not send it to your bee member. It has to come to meeeee. Sorry, I`m in spoilt brat mode. Lovely cheerful mosaic!
Great job with your weekly exercise! What was your rush job — a last-minute commission? Heeeey, I bet you could sell your lamp paper-piecing pattern! I think you've become my source for vicarious small-business experiences… 😀
I'm loving your quilt fabrics – nice and bright! What line is that?
hello I popped along from lily's quilts fresh sewing day….. what a lovely blog. I love the pieced block of the lamp x
I love that pieced anglepoise lamp block, and well done on the weight loss too.
Fabulous coloured blocks.
I wonder what the guy watchign the CCTV made of you running up and down the stairs … but well done!
I really like the colours in the top row of your January blocks … the look like a bonbon (candy?sweet?) jar.
Congratulations on all your achievements this week, and we still have 2 more days. GOOD FOR YOU!
The blocks are lovely.
Hugs
Great month, well done on the weight loss and all that exercise, I am in awe.
Now, that anglepoise lamp, well I thought it was a pic of a real one. You seriously need to get these patterns on sale, you are becoming a pp legend.
the owl is just so cute. Great job.
Rogers's takes you one step closer to a finish. You've done a great job. And look at that weight loss! Wow. Congrats all around!
You have been so busy walking how can you sew? Congrats on all!
excellent progress – and very impressed re the weight loss – still to get off my duff to do something about that!
Wow, another great week! congrats on the weight loss, you are doing fantastic!
Love all of your blocks, but especially that flying geese block!
Great job with the weight loss this week. And I love the colours of the fabrics you used in your projects – very happy and cheery.
You leave me for dead. I am unpicking and redoing Polar bear feet because I didn't like the shading.
Hugs

Paper piecing queen… Start making patterns! Lots of progress, great blocks, and gobsmacked at weight loss… well done!
I love your x and + blocks. I 've seen lots of those on blogland lately. Lovely
Great job on the weight lose!! I have been trying too…you are doing better than me!! Hugs
Gosh. Isn't it amazing when you look at a mosaic of all you've accomplished in the month! I know I sometimes feel like I'm not getting anything done when I'm just doing a block here and a block there, but you've proven me wrong! Great job! Hopefully February will be as successful – in all areas – as January was. 🙂
Oh Ms Katy – gorgeous work, as always. Your items always cheer me up. Especially all those brights.
Big, HUGE congrats on the weightloss too. You are a machine! Very, very inspirational. Well done. 🙂
Wow those paper pieced blocks are amazing.
All that walking is paying off, you are going so well.
