I got a couple of bits of happy mail this week, firstly a package from Jill at Tabslot. Jill uses CAD to design templates for quilting, which her husband then laser cuts and etches in acrylic for use with rotary cutters. A couple of the templates I bought are actually custom templates she’s done to go with patterns, and they can make any custom templates up to 12″x24″, how fab is that? Now I haven’t peeled the protective backing off them yet, but I got a 60 degree ruler, a bunch of wee hexies, a tall triangle, some wee leaves and the 2 parts needed for the Retro Flowers pattern that’s been springing up all over the place of late. I think I need to get one of the smaller rotary cutters for use with that one (mine’s a 45mm one)
For my next parcel, which arrived this morning, I just went to M Is For Make to get a metre of fabric for a new bee coming up in March. I’ve loved the Circa 52 line since I first saw it a few months ago, but couldn’t think of a reason to get it until I had to Stitch Tease, and having got my metre, I got a fat 16th bundle to help start me off with the bee, and use on another few wee bits and pieces:
While I was there, I had to pick up a couple of other pieces too. It’s all Sara’s fault, and that’s all I’m saying… ;o)
Anywho, since I’m still waiting for my last 2 pieces of fabric for the FTLOS swap to arrive, I thought I’d give a little example of how you can use the blocks from the Foundation Paper Piecing For The Terrified QAL:
Hope you’re all having a great weekend :o)
Your templates look fun! Love the fabric and your pouch – so cute!
There's so many project destined for those templates! I LOVE that log cabin block, it has an ethereal look about it.
Melody Miller? Are those for me?
Love those templates and Sara is such a bad influence when it comes to fabric,LOL!!!!!
Great templates, they will all be very useful.
Love the fabrics you've used in the block, really pretty.
Love your Circa 52 fabric do much. Does that mean its based on designs from 1952? That's my year!
Great templates. And love the fabric. Can't wait to see what you plan for Stitch Tease.
Those templates look good, will check out that site next! Looking forward to the first foray into paper piecing 🙂
Loving the templates, the fabric, actually the lot x
Great templates – I keep trying to get my husband to start making them – I'm sure he'd find a way!
Great templates to make life easier.
Have a great week.
Hugs

Oooh, thanks for the template link – just what I needed to get re-inspired for the calendar quilt UFO!
