I got a couple of bits of happy mail this week, firstly a package from Jill at Tabslot.  Jill uses CAD to design templates for quilting, which her husband then laser cuts and etches in acrylic for use with rotary cutters.   A couple of the templates I bought are actually custom templates she’s done to go with patterns, and they can make any custom templates up to 12″x24″, how fab is that?  Now I haven’t peeled the protective backing off them yet, but I got a 60 degree ruler, a bunch of wee hexies, a tall triangle, some wee leaves and the 2 parts needed for the Retro Flowers pattern that’s been springing up all over the place of late.  I think I need to get one of the smaller rotary cutters for use with that one (mine’s a 45mm one)

For my next parcel, which arrived this morning, I just went to M Is For Make to get a metre of fabric for a new bee coming up in March.  I’ve loved the Circa 52 line since I first saw it a few months ago, but couldn’t think of a reason to get it until I had to Stitch Tease, and having got my metre, I got a fat 16th bundle  to help start me off with the bee, and use on another few wee bits and pieces:

While I was there, I had to pick up a couple of other pieces too.  It’s all Sara’s fault, and that’s all I’m saying… ;o)

Anywho, since I’m still waiting for my last 2 pieces of fabric for the FTLOS swap to arrive, I thought I’d give a little example of how you can use the blocks from the Foundation Paper Piecing For The Terrified QAL:

Hope you’re all having a great weekend :o)
