I think my new policy of doing work for myself at weekends and work for others during the week is working well. I’m counting the QAL as a thing for others as it will ultimately become a Blanket of Love for Kat. I’ve been keeping up as they’ve come out, and here’s block 8, the Peek-A-Boo block:
I’ve been trying to make all the print fabrics come out even, and so it was the turn of the red and pink to go together. Although it’s not so clear here, the pattern on the red fabric is actually the pink, so it’s not as unlikely a combo as it may sound (honest guv!)
Tomorrow I have a bee block to start to tackle, paper pieced octopus anyone?!
Gorgeous block – love pink and red together. Why do mine always look frayed and everyone else`s look neat? What an amazing quilt top for Kat`s BoL.
I will watch as you wrestle with an octopus! Lovely block Katy!
octopus? i gotta see this! where are you finding your patterns?? haha
A Pieced octopus, well I need to see to believe.

Serious?! You're making me look bad! I haven't even finished last week's block!
I want to know too, where do you come up with these patterns?! Your block is great 🙂
It's working for me too 🙂
I'm having a few busy evenings during the week lately so I may have to temporarily detour from my resolution, but so far so good 🙂
Hey I'm here to tell you. you've been tagged for the Liebster Blog Award. Hope you don't mind.

Good strategy on the sewing for you / others, hope it works.
I do hope you are joking about the PP octopus!!!
An octopus?!?!? Wow! *grins* Although I was googling for PP underpants last week (pun intended!!)
So cute and cheery
Octopus?? Did I miss something? BTW I've always loved pink and red together. Pink and orange too. I really like this block and when I look back over the previous ones I can't choose a favorite, they're all great. Hugs

I think your blocks will be perfectly cheery for a kid! 🙂
