Well I’ve been working on quite a lot this week, but don’t really have a lot I can show you right now! Here’s what I can show you:
Finishes For The Week:
Block 3 for FPPFTT (sorry, that’ll have to preview tomorrow!)
In Progress This Week:
I put a border on my Stained QAL quilt, and it’s ready to be basted, backed and quilted. I’ve held off on the basting for now though, as I think the spray might not be too good for the lungs the way they are at the moment! I think I might have some masks somewhere though…
I got Block 10 for the SHQ QAL done too, definitely think I’ve had enough of the HSTs now lol:
I started working on my Curves Class projects run by Rachel at Stitched In Colour. Now there’s a reason for leaping into this now, as I have a few project dependencies on curves, and need the practice! This is what is currently on my design wall for my go at her Rainbow Road. Now I should explain that it’s meant to be a table runner and made up of 4 long strips, but I have whole other plans for this, so you’ll just have to go with me for now!
This was last night:
And this morning:
Now to work on converting it into my plan…
I have also drawn up a whole bunch of patterns for a mini, for a bear and for some blocks, and printed off a few other bits and pieces. Don’t think I’ll be getting bored for a while anyway ;o)
No Progress This Week:
That bag, not going there!
To Be Worked On This Week:
My FLTOS main item
Some curves class projects
Anything else I get round to…
Weigh In Progress:
Weight loss goal: 26 lbs / 11.8 kg
Stage: 6 weeks complete
Week’s loss: 0 lbs (0 kg)
Total loss: 15 lbs (6.9 kg)
Distance to goal: 11 lbs / 4.9 kg
Exercise done: Running up and down the escalators at the station: none
Walking up and down the 120 stairs at work: none
Walk to/from work: none
Lunchtime walks none
Total time exercising: none
Well the chest infection from hell has raged on, I’m on high dose steroids and antibiotics, and I’m certainly not getting to exercise – argh! I also had a wibble and had some chocolate on Monday. Not a lot, but some, and I needed it (it’s meant to raise your spirits, right? Some chemical thing?!) Anywho, I didn’t gain, so I’m happy with that at least. I’m just not even going to think about promising anything for the next week, it jinxed me last week!

Your rainbow curves are so pretty, and love the look of your stained glass quilt. Look after yourself and hope you get over this chesty thing soon. It seems like ages and I do`t have it!
I'm SO sorry to hear you are still poorly! I hope the medication you're on doesn't make you feel too bad. Sometimes the cure is almost as bad as the illness.
Take care of yourself, dear Katy!

Your Stained QAL quilt looks lovely, and you are probably right not to try the basting spray with the current state of your lungs! Looking forward to seeing what you have in store for us next on the FPPFTT!

Hope you feel up to finishing your beautiful Stained asap, and the curves are looking awesome (tried to think of something funny to link that to the weight loss, but failed!!) x
Sorry to hear that you are so sick 🙁 That just sucks, especially in winter. I can understand not wanting to use basting spray while sick. I have asthma so I just avoid it all together – which means I tend to avoid finishing quilts too b/c I am so lazy about pin basting (LOL). I love your rainbows and your block for SHQ. I am done with HSTs for awhile too!
Sorry to hear you are sick, I hope you get better very soon. Don't worry about the weight loss this week, and it's great that you haven;t put any on.
Love the Stained quilt, it looks fabulous.
