This was a pretty busy week, but by Sunday it kind of felt like my sewing mojo had got up and was preparing for the off… I soldiered on working on some things that ‘had to be done’ but I currently have a vision of my mojo standing there like a rather angry imp, hands on hips and saying ‘If you don’t make something for yourself soon, then I’m off!’ Hmm, looking back at my Winter Stitching list from this last 6 months ready to post an update this weekend for the linky list, I realised I’ve made myself only 3 things, and to be fair, 1 was for a challenge and 1 for a tutorial, so I’m not even sure they technically count! I really want to get going on my My Precious QAL quilts, but I also have 2 bee blocks, a pattern test and a Retro Flowers QAL mini to do this month (although the retro flowers can run on a bit). Maybe I’ll split my coming weekends between a day of obligatory sewing, and a day of fun, with evenings taking turn about…
Finishes This Week:
Calico Grove FPPFTT block cushion:
NYB block for a tutorial:
Stained QAL – yeah baby, not a single mark on those colour catchers, and I love how this crinkled up! I nipped over to my gran’s after work for a quick photo shoot between rain showers:
And some quilting close ups, as requested:
In Progress This Week:
I actually started quilting the rainbow windmill cushion, believe it or not! Not got that far, but still…
To Work On This Week:
Cut my retro flowers
Do my Sew Bee Joyful block
Start on my Prince Charming quilts
Work on some pattern testing
Hope you’ve all had a great week :o)

OHHHH your quilt came out so nice!! I love the crinkles 🙂
Ahh, I love your Stained QAL quilt.. so pretty, and the pic of it outside in the sun is gorgeous. Sounds like you will be keeping busy!
Your NYB is gorgeous!
Thanks for the quilting close ups, looks really good. I'm thinking of fewer lines, top to bottom as well as left to right
So pleased you had no colour-runnage; bit jealous of the blue sky!
that NY Beauty is fantastic- truly gorgeous. You definitely deserve some "super selfish sewing time" as I like to call it, when obligations go to the wayside in favor of making yourself something grand. Go for it- you need to keep that impish mojo happy!
your quilt is perfect. Love that binding choice!
LOVE the quilt, the spotty fabric is divine! Sounds like you've been busy! Well done!Jen@madeinminch
Love your stained Katy – the quilting looks fab.
I love your stained quilt! I'm using Innocent Crush for my Retro Flowers quilt…can't wait to see your progress on your Retro Flower. 🙂
Oooh I LOVE IT! Your "organic" quilting lines have turned out superb, and I love the shocking binding too! Really lovely. Now, lasso the imp, tell him to stop stropping, and do as you plan – half and half. 🙂
You're so buuuuusy! 😀
My prayer was answered with no dye running in the wash. Your cushion looks fab.
Hugs
You know I might cry for help on twitter when I sit down to do the Joyful block this weekend 😉
