One of the things I have to work on this month is my next Stitch Tease block for Susan. She would like a variety of wonky stars, so I’m going to be super lazy resourceful and ask you all for your favourite stars.
Here’s what I’ve found so far, but any links you may have lurking up your sleeves would be gratefully appreciated! The block has to be 20″ x 30″, so there’s room for a few options.
I’m thinking I could wonk up the points on this:
Or maybe something like this?

Maybe a take on something like this?

Perhaps a bit of interlinking?

What was that Susan? You say you want to know what I decide? Errrr, nah ;o)
You already posted my favorite. I love the way all the strips look like stars in converging corners.
And while I don't like the fabric choices in this tutorial (http://tlc.howstuffworks.com/home/twisted-star-quilt-block.htm) I've always wanted to play with that block. I like how it's all twisty.
They're all great – good luck deciding!
Good luck. Just remember the stars are all white!! Please?
Have fun!!
love all of them but especially option 2!
That is a big block to be. How about a star within a star within a star….etc
No coaching from the sides Susan…love that you are thinking out of the box!
These are all lovely, and so different too! Have fun deciding! Jxo
I'd love to help but right now too tired to look through my links. If you remind me tomorrow I'll search out through the tutorials for you =D
yes, yes, yes and yes. They all look like good ideas
That is going to be one big block! They all look good, but my fave is #4! I'm sure it will look great whatever you decide, Katy.
Love stars and they are all great ideas. Here's a link to lots of star ideas on interest. http://pinterest.com/sewkatiedid/star-quilts/
Pinterest not interest, not so good at proof reading!!!!
definately go wonky – although i wouldn't knock back any of those….
Ohh, I love all of those options, but esp. the last one! :o)
I love stars.
Especially the last ones.
But I really can't even begin to imagine how they will look in Susan's white.
Cant wait to see what you do.
xxxx
They'd all be cool – I have another I'll email you later, too :o)
I'd stick with just regular wonky 🙂 That's what I'm going to do!
Another thought is different sizes, for example http://www.flickr.com/photos/55389776@N08/6657280881/in/set-72157629660669517
I love making wonky stars, I am sure what you pick will be lovely.
this is one of my favourite star patterns

so much that I've used it in two bees 🙂
Might not work if Susan wnts the stars all white though…
I really love the bright color combinations are being used in all of these. They're all wonderful. Have a great weekend. Hugs
My fav is definitely the top one – even without the wonkiness. But I think the wonkiness would just make it better 🙂
I like watching you tease her and making Suz squirm a bit. If this is your inspiration, you can't go wrong!
You're devious!
