You know how you lot always complain when I have secret stuff that I can’t share? (which, quite frankly, kills me too!) Well here’s a secret from waaaay back in January. What do you mean you’d forgotten there even WAS a secret in January…? ;o) Well anyway, back at the end of last year, the fabulous Sara at Sew Sweetness asked me to pattern test for her for a pattern that was going into a US magazine due out this month, with the proviso that it had to be kept secret in the meantime. So here it is, the Convertible Clutch that is in the October/November edition of Sew News. You can read more about it over here where you can also get hold of the pattern and instructions from the magazine.
For my version I found the Just Wing It fabric in Mandors, and I thought it would be perfect for a nice spring bag. When the bag is opened up to carry by the handle, the strap was hanging loose, so my friend Jo suggested popping a wee button on to hold it out of the way, and given the fabric that I was using, I thought a wee felt butterfly over the top would be the perfect way to hide it.
Very, very pretty. Love the fabric choices.
Very gorgeous.
Trees and butterflies – a winning combo it seems.
