This was a fairly leisurely week with my visitor coming to play with me at the weekend, and getting the last bits and pieces in place to start my new project. I did, however, get fabric pulled for several projects, all the quilt maths prep for my book review item, the bulk of my Sailor Mouth Swap main item, TBB II’s arms and legs, and my Brit Bee blocks done.
Finishes:
Brit Bee Blocks for Bee Mama Laura, who has recently fallen for 6″ churn dashes, so sent us a set of foreground and background fabrics to make 2 12″ blocks of them, and a couple of rules about how black and white couldn’t play together, so here’s what I came up with:
In Progress This Week:
Sailor Mouth Swap main item.
TBB II – for all of you concerned that he was just a head, here’s his arms and legs. I know, no body yet, but there’s a REASON for that!!!
To Be Worked On This Week:
Finish my Sailor Mouth Swap items
Cut my charms for the Japanese Charm Swap
Work on my book review project
Make some place mats for the SBPP photo ops
Hope you’ve all had a great week :o)
Linking up, as ever to:
Love those little churn dashes. Will be following along on your South Beach adventures 🙂
Laura is going to be one happy babe when she gets your blocks!
Good grief! How long was I asleep for? When did you fit all that in???? LOL And I thought I'd slowed you down…
Ha ha to Sarah's comment!
Nice work 😉
Bravo!! Totally impressed so what else it new?! I can't keep up and I didn't have company that I can blame my lack of accomplishments on.
For some reason I couldn't see the pictures yesterday of TBB II so seeing them today I just have to say…I LOVE HIS FEET!
Your churn dash blocks look great. (haha, first I just typed "church dash" and it kinda made me chuckle–I must be easily amused today). Anyway… love seeing the progress.
Brilliant bee blocks! Those arm and leg photos make you look like an axe-wielding bear murderer…
Rocking the chrum dash blocks there Madam.
So…you have all the bits for a bear that doesn't yet look like a bear (but has very pretty feet!)
Loving those bee blocks.
Gosh those churn dash blocks seem to be popping up everywhere. Are they the latest sewing craze? =D
I had exactly the same thought as Helen! glad to see the wee bear is recovering from Chinese toenail torture, you cruel, woman! Loving Laulli's blocks, just finishing my own off 🙂
Love your black and whit blocks whit the bright colour added.
I'm frantically looking for ears that I know I have stitched for my mink bear. I had them in a zip lock bag and the bag has gone missing. Grrrr.
Hugs
Love those blocks! What a fab quilt it will be :o)
Looks great! I like those Churn Dash blocks. Very bright! And the little toes!!! Your new little bear is coming together!
Love those bright colours! I wish you could bottle your energy and send me some!
Seriously adorable church dash blocks!! Love.
I totally LOVE the churn dashes!!! And waiting for the day when Nobody will become a somebody.
I love those Bee Blocks, really bright and cheerful.
Those bear feet are just perfect!!
I just saw your previous post on how you get those feet…. like bear acupuncture or torture!
Beautiful churn dash blocks! It's a little hard to see Bear's body parts unattached but I guess they don't have feelings until everything is sewn on.
Laura is going to have the best quilt and all the blocks are sewn with such care.
Mr. Teddy is coming along.
Yes, I agree! The churn dask blocks are gorgeous. 🙂
Love the churn dash blocks! Sounds like you've been a busy bee!
