You may remember just over a month ago I finished my first Indie quilt. Although both tops were finished at the same time, I only just got to finishing the second one last weekend, and this one is mine all mine! I do apologise for the wrinkles in the pictures, it’s because of how I had it folded small and stuffed in a bag all day before I got the photos taken:
The back, where you can see the bulls-eye type quilting, I’ll post more about that later.
Fabric: Indie by Pat Bravo for Art Gallery Fabrics + Kona Amber and Berry
Thread: Pieced using Aurifil 50wt #2000 and quilted using Aurifil 50wt #4030 (which matched Kona Berry perfectly BTW)
Batting: Quilter’s Dream 100% cotton
Size: 56″ x 56″
Quilting: Circles radiating from the centre
Quilted by: Me again
Pattern: Giant star out of my head (ie, no pattern followed or anything)
Oooh, oooh, oooh, I just realised, this is a super, duper, triple finish!
But I'm really intrigued by your location – it looks like a hot sunny place, but I'm suspecting this was what you were up to round the back of Braehead? 😉
That looks good! I love the quilting–were all those curves a beast?
Quilt does look fabby 🙂 I'm puzzling over maybe doing the second one different… cross fingers for me I dont regret it!
It's a big beautiful super star!! Love the quilting!
It looks wonderful especially the quilting!
Are you sure you haven't doctored those photos? Braehead looks very Mediterranean to me!

Very cool, and love the bullseye.
triple or not, it's a super duper finish all right.
Beautiful quilt and fantastic quilting!
Very very cute. I recall thinking "If I made one of those it would be staying here " so Im glad you went for round 2 !
It's very pretty, Indie is one of my favorite lines and they just work wonderfully in this!
It looks gorgeous! I love the berry background. Bullseye quilting is one of my favourites – but may I say a pain in the arse?! When I did spiral quilting last month I went the wrong way and the quilt going through the throat of the machine got bigger rather than smaller! Won't make that mistake again.
Awesome quilt Katy – love the colours and the quilting. Just fab!
Outstanding! I love it.
Beautiful quilt! The background color is just perfect with the bold colors of Indie. I LOVE the bulls-eye quilting too!
Very pretty! I did two of these quilts over Christmas for my mom and mother in law.
Love yours & your quilting!
