When Carl and I first discussed rehoming him, he turned into quite the diva, demanding everything from diamante collars to gold plating. We compromised on fabrics and went for Ikea’s Besta Linen for the outer, and a yellow basic dot that I found in Mandors which, quite frankly, could be from anywhere, but was the closest to gold that he was getting!
Carl himself is a pocket, complete with piping along the top edge, fully lined with the yellow dots, and with a magnetic snap closure. Inside there is a zippy pocket, and a main magnetic snap closure, but other than that he’s frill-free.
As we thought he would be good for trips through the Provencal summer to the market this summer, the straps are attached to both the outer and lining, and are just the right length to be carried over the shoulder so that he can get a good view of the world on our shopping trips. He’s now hanging out on top of an empty suitcase hopefully…
Don’t forget to check out the giveaway on yesterday’s post…
Carl's home is just perfect! I love it! And Carl, too.
Can't wait to stroll around the market stalls with Carl 🙂
Carl has a home! That is so exciting!!! I love his home, I hope we get a picture of you too hanging out around town!
Carl is so beautiful! Adorable!
Damn, Carl, I really hope you're satisfied with your shiny new home. It's gorgeous. You'd think people, I mean chameleons, were a little bit more grateful.. ; Lovely post!
They get made and then they wander off to someone else – bad as kids!
Demanding Carl. Ha! You're hilarious!
France would be lovely! The bag is wonderful.
Who would NOT love Carl, he (and his surroundings) is (are) beautiful!
Carl, you lucky boy, what a swish new home! I do love this tote, Katy. I could use one for work and even have some paper pieced orphans that would make an awesome pocket. Thanks for the inspiration!
GO CARL! Fantastic tote LT.
Hugs
Welcome back Carl. We have missed you
Carl looks very happy in his new home. And who wouldn't love trips to Provence?
He was even lovelier in person. Hope you got home safely! Jxo
brilliant!
Carl is indeed stunning in real life, he deserved diamantes!
I still maintain he had every right to be ever so slightly diva-ish…but he looks very happy…not surprising given that he is off to Provence. I think he's trying to say…what's that Carl? You want to go where? To Marrakech??
I love Carl! What a fab tote x
Carl had every right to play the diva card if Provence was the end result.
He looks very comfy in his new home.
Carl looks very happy – at least he gets to travel around with you now.
Who knew that Carl could be such a diva???? He better like his new digs…he gets a better view of the world than those wee dogs that folks like to carry in their purses!
Tinking along
So grand Carl has a home! That is a fabulous tote 🙂
Excellent!
Carl is a real snappy dresser…love it. Oma Linda
Carl is glorious and definitely in need of adventures!
He looks like the cat that got the cream. Well, sort of!!
by giving him what he wants now you are making a rod for your back!!! (he does look great though)
Now that is an awesome tote!! Brilliant!
Hope Carl enjoyed his weekend excursion.
What a clever write up-he looks very comfy in his new home 🙂
Carl is definitely at home on a lovely tote.
Gorgeous.
just perfect!!!!
Carl looks right at home, even if there isn't a diamante in sight! I think Carl would quite like to go to Saltburn to see the knitting on the pier and I know just the person/dog to take him there…
Demanding little so and so, tell him not to eat any of those French flies, nothing worse than a chameleon with an upset stomach I'm guessing x
How cute! I love Carl's new home! 🙂
Carl is fantastic and also my dad's name.
I love his new home. The bag is awesome. Now, I know you'd really like to make another. Carl wants to be made in purple too, with some purple inside the bag. And then purple Carl wants to come and live with me. 🙂
