Last year I did the Curves class with Rachel over at Stitched In Colour, but I have to admit, I wasn’t the best at actually doing my homework. Finally I got round to creating my own version of her rainbow road:
My original thought had been that I’d make messenger bag with it, but I knew that would require some thinking on how I would put it together, so after framing it in black, I set it aside to start on something new and shiny ponder.
It kept getting knocked down the WIP pile, until, in the need for something simple and mindless to work on on Monday, I decided that the messenger bag was never going to happen, and just turned it into a simple (but rather giant) tote:
It has a simple Klona ash lining, no other frills or pockets, and that’s another tick off the FAL list for this quarter.
That is rather giant, but absolutely fabulous–I love the two-sidedness, one vibrant one calm.
very, very fun!!!
way to go! one can never have enough totes – or shiny things to look at 🙂
It's so lovely and colourful. You could fit a lot of fabric in that if you make it to a fabric shop…
A great way to use up such a lovely rainbow! Jxo
So often a big tote is needed, well done!
huge and simple but just FAB!
that does look rather large, but I am sure you can find a very good use for it
Large, but perfect for carrying anything and everything.
Looks fab, just perfect to take fabric shopping and fill it up with lots of lovely buys :o)
Mmm nice curves but what on earth are you going to put in it?
Love this colourful tote – and love how different the 2 sides are. Gorgeous x
Your tote is beautiful – love the curvy piecing and the bright colours!
Who needs a small bag? Lovely curves!
it is wonderful 🙂 rainbows are always great!
gorgeous! Love the black trim
I also find giant totes are the way to go, if in doubt!
Totes cute ! (sorry couldnt help myself )
I wish I'd been on that curves class. I love the subtlety of the curves you've made, glad you found something useful to do with it!
You could fit a small child in there! Or Archie, at a push! Looks great, though!
