Amazingly, despite running all over creation this month, and coming home from FQR with the ick, I have managed to get all my bee blocks for July done not only on time, but 3 whole days early (albeit it’s now 2 days later as I post this ;o) ) I’m feeling slightly disconcerted by this phenomenon…
Anyway, Jennie asked us to come up with either 2 12” blocks, or 1 24” block inspired by some work she had seen by Gunta Stolzl.

I volunteered to tackle some curves, and using the solids she provided, came up with this (I did tell her in advance the curves would be somewhat organic!)
It’s going to give a very interesting end effect, so I’m looking forward to seeing it come together.
Whoah, super cool, and I can totally see the inspiration pattern in your block! 🙂
Ooh, my eyes have gone all wonky looking at that block. Love it!
Very cool, I see the connection. Will be nest to see therm come together!

I keep thinking Keiser Soze quilt!
Wow! That's one great block. I really need to get over my fear of piecing curves.

What a cool block! You'll have to post pics of the quilt top when she has it finished.
That is pure creativity. Love those organic curves.
