Do you ever find yourself on someone else’s blog drooling over something they have and saying ‘I want that!’? Do they ever say yes? ‘Cos recently that’s just what Miss Molli did for me when I said ‘I want that Pooh fabric now!’
Based on the EH Shepard illustrations, this is marginally more grown up than the Disney version, and look it’s low volume and everything! Unfortunately it was only available at Spotlight in Australia, so we agreed to do a trade.
This all brings me to the fact that later this week, when I’m in London, I’m going to *have* to go to Shaukat and get some Liberty fabric to send as my end of the deal. Damn… ;o)
I completely get the Pooh love! That fabric is lovely. Much prefer E Shepherd poo to Disney. Oh and can I come to Shaukat with you. Just to make sure you don't buy too much obviously. Nothing to do with buying stuff myself honest 🙂
Oh, wow! I love it!!! Can't wait to see what you make with that! It's such a pity that you're going to be forced to buy some Liberty – you do know it's illegal to buy fabric for a present and not get some for yourself, don't you?!
Yay for your happy mail! Australia has some awfully cool just-for-them fabric.
that is so cute! I'm sure you will have so much fun in London!
lucky you !!great swap !
oh my god i want pooh too…. lol
I love that version of Pooh! Have fun keeping up your end of the bargain, I wouldn't mind a little shopping in London 🙂
That is so cute. You've reminded me I haven't been to Spotlight in ages… I might just have to pop down dor a visit.
Isn't life tough 🙂
Why don't I have that in my stash???
Oh! Love this low volume Pooh fabric! I would love to go to Shaukat too – Ruth Two Hippos said it is like Aladdin's Cave. Is it far from FQR? Would be good to sneak in a fabric trip.
Oh my goodness…I bought some of that a couple of weeks back myself. Its darling!
They are the best swaps, and yes I got my love quilt from Nat after admiring it!
Boy do you suffer for these trades. Really? You are obliged to pick up a bit of Liberty? Oh my.
Loving the pooh! You've just reminded me how close Shaukat's is to the retreat…
Ok now I have to google Shaukat……
What a gorgeous fabric. The more classic versions of Pooh are always the best.
Best low volume print ever! We have a soft spot for the Pooh Bear in our household. The 3 year old is sitting in my lap and shouting "Can you get that for me" as we speak.
Always a bummer to *have* to go fabric shopping 😉
the things you do for your friends!!!! i can't believe that fabric is only available down.under, Milne. and Shepherd (?) are ours, so we should have the fabric too
the true one and only Pooh!
