I’m going to be teaching at Patchwork In The Peaks 4, in the middle of the French Alps!
From the 3rd-6th October, Elita, from The Busy Needle, is running her 4th retreat at this gorgeous chalet in Montriond. Over the 4 days you can enjoy:
- 5 different classes (including the one taught by moi)
- Copious free sewing/chatting time
- Fabulous food
- Jacuzzis
- Saunas
- Massages
- Manicures/pedicures
- Beautiful scenery (my dad says this is his favourite place to go walking, and given his love of photography, you can bet it’s pretty!)
- Pick up/drop off at Geneva airport
Look, you even get to quilt with wine!
I’ll be teaching the popular Aeroplane Bag by the lovely Sara at Sew Sweetness:
Maybe we ought to tackle this before hitting the wine that day ;o)
Anyway, if you would like to join us, there’s still 2 places up for grabs, and with Sleasyjet flying into Geneva from all over Europe, including Bristol, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Gatwick, Luton and Manchester, you could get there for a lot less than you think!
Can’t make it this time? No bother, there will be another one in the spring :o)
What fun! I sure wish I could go too, it looks like a beautiful spot.
woo hoo! you do get about a bit…
Looks like so much fun!!! Shame I have to work 🙁 maybe next time!
Don't quilt with red wine – the stains will be hell to get out!
On the other hand the walking round about is fabulous.
Alan
Lucky you….
Oh I'm so envious, Elita is just fabulous and I'd love to be there with you, unfortunately Sleasyjet doesn't fly from NYC 🙁 I've been admiring that bag your teaching too since I saw it on Sonia @Fabric & Flowers blog – have lots of fun and please post about it 🙂
Ooo. That's fab. I had fun making that bag with Allegory. (So much so I made 2!)
Oh how I would LOVE to go to this! I can imagine my husband's reaction if I asked to go to the French Alps to quilt for 4 days ha ha! But I can dream…
wow! how fab!!!!
Oh, have fun! This looks like a gorgeous location for a retreat.
That sounds so awesome!!! How exciting that you'll be teaching! Is there really an airline called Sleasyjet?
Congratulations! Hope you have fn :o)
omg i wish!
Get you jet setter! Have fun x
Lucky you, Katy! Seems like a dream come true! Hugs, Janice
I would SO love to SEW with you!! How beautiful!
How is it that I've not heard about this before? It's my boys 4th birthday on the 5th so I'd better not go (although his daddy was away for it last year!) Can't wait to hear about it
What more could you ask for, quilting and wine with some fabulous scenery thrown in? It will be tough but I have every confidence you will struggle through it 🙂
One of these days, you might be surprised who shows up on your doorstep……or at one of your classes! Moi!
sounds like heaven! Jxo
Darn it I was in Geneva airport about a week ago!
ah, to be sewing in France…now that is a dream I'll just keep dreaming!
That is fantastic! I wish I was going to be there 🙂
Fab! A bit far for me I fear – but sounds brilliant!
I really wish I could…
I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time. The location looks fabulous!
the sacrifices you make for the sewing / bagging community, you are so generous!!!! it sounds great
Wow! Utterly fantadtic!
I met the lovely Elita and Gina at FQR and had a lovely meal with them! You will be in very good hands! Their sewing retreats look to be very good value, I am very tempted to go next year! Have fun!
Yay I snagged a spot!! Sooooooo excited!!!
Bugger…I wish I could pop on over but even with Sleazy Jet I think this is out of my price range ..with the flight cost from Australia it adds up !
Yay! It sounds amazing!
Looks like great fun in an amazing setting. Are you serious the airline is sleazy jet?! Surely you're pulling my leg and I've just never heard this name.
I call it DodgyJet, but hey… These retreats are just THE BEST and I have been lucky enough to go to every single one. I am contemplating taking out life membership, should such a thing exist. I look forward to meeting you, Katy! JJ
Look forward to meeting you too :o)
Yay for you! What an awesome place to teach at! Wah, why is everything so far away from me…
