I’m still processing thoughts and photos from The Stitch Gathering yesterday, however I do have a little something to share beforehand!
From the 3rd-25th August Jo ran the Scottish Modern Quilt Exhibition in her shop as an Edinburgh Fringe Festival venue. When I handed over my Brit Bee Retro Flowers and Stitch Tease quilts, plus my We Love Colour mini and New York Beauty cushion for the exhibition, I didn’t realise that visitors would be asked to vote for their favourite item in show. Here, from the Stitch Gathering Facebook Page, courtesy of Jo, is a collection of photos of all the fabulous items on display:
Amazingly, after all the votes were in, my Brit Bee Retro Flowers was declared the winner!
Thank you to all the voters, and to Alex Veronelli and Aurifil for my fabulous prize:
I will be back tomorrow to tell you all about the day :o)
Congratulations and what a wonderful surprise for you yesterday. 🙂

Hi Katy,
Well, I must say . . . Yea! Yea for Katy! I'm excited for you. How utterly fabulous to have been voted into the winner's circle. I trust you will exploit this award to the utmost. Perhaps you could make yourself a badge that says "I'm a winner. Buy me a coffee." (Or whatever beverage you prefer}. In fact, make it a really big badge!
Congratulations!
Yea! (Again!)
