Since we’re allowed out to play twice again this edition of the Blogger’s Quilt Festival, I thought I would dust off another favourite finish from this year and show her off again:
Around 18 months ago I was invited to join a great group of ladies as part of the Stitch Tease Bee. During the year that this entirely secret bee ran, we sent out our starter blocks into the world and then… well, then our bee mates teased and tortured us with sneak peeks, pixellated images and nothing like what we would finally get back!
I sent these 2 blocks on their journey, with the request that my bee mates take inspiration from the vehicles in the Birch Organics Circa 52 collection, which included space ships, cars, camper vans, mopeds and bikes.
Over the next year the following ladies added their blocks:
Annabella
Danny
Di
Di
Hadley
Helen
Susan
I had originally intended to use what came back as a throw quilt, but when I saw it, I realised there was no way it could be anything other than a wall hanging:
Just look at the details in the blocks (pre quilting)

Thank you so much ladies, I got a truly unique wall hanging out of this, so I’m entering this into the Wall Hanging category in the Festival, I hope you all love it as much as me!
Welcome to any new visitors to the blog, feel free to poke around, make yourself at home and all that. Just remember you can touch the dust, but please don’t write in it. Oh no, that’s the house… *ahem*
Oh, yay!! I love this one – it makes me too happy. Thanks for sharing it again. I don't know how I missed the suicidal herons….

Such a funky quilt
Super cute!!! What a wonderfully creative and fun array of blocks. Sounds like it was a blast to be in a bee with that group too. Thanks so much for sharing! 🙂
That makes me smile every time I see it. The car is still there, getting a little rustier every year. Yours will never rust!
Hah! I missed the suicidal herons the first time, too! Where do you have this hanging?
What a fun project! You have a great group of ladies in your bee!! Playful and beautiful.
This is fantastic! What a treat it must have been to get it back after all these creative women had added their work to your quilt! I have a special spot in my heart for red bicycles, so I especially like Di's block!
Such a cool quilt – love all of the fun details!!
Oh, my! The details on some of these blocks really are amazing! A wonderful exchange quilt.
