I’m sure many of you have heard about the police helicopter that crashed into the pub in Glasgow last Friday. The spooky thing is that it had just been flying over here, and crashed a little under a mile away from where I live. We’re so used to it flying overhead here it’s unbelievable, and so sad for all involved. Everyone I know is safe and well, but if you could spare a thought for those that aren’t so fortunate, that would be good, thanks.
On that note, I’m not adding any other random for this week, thanks for stopping by.
I'm so glad that you are safe, those who were not so lucky are in my prayers.
Terrible tragedy all round, sometimes it is just down to being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I can imagine just how upsetting and unsettling it must be. I have been associated with a couple of helicopter crashes and my cousin died 6 years ago in one (he was an RAF helicopter pilot). They scare me rigid. Take care, Juliex
Wow, so glad you are alright and of course how horrible for those that were. As strange as it sounds, I cringe everytime I hear a copter fly over our house. I have no idea why. Now my imagination will tell me why with facts. Be well, Oma Linda
our house seems to be right under the flight path of a couple of helicopters, I think one of which is maybe an air ambulance one …. we also get very low flying RAF cargo planes going slowly and low flying speedy gonzalez jets that terrify the cat and me both! Raised an eyebrow to hear through Twitter that a baptist church are planning to picket the funerals of the Glasgow crash victims, but nothing about religion surprises me – it's not my thing – but it doesn't seem very respectful to the victims or their families. Glad you and your friends and family were all at a safe distance.
What a tragedy for all those involved. Truly awful.
Such a sad event, and too close to home not to make you think about the tragedy for the families.
I was sorry to hear about that, but I'm glad that you and your circle are safe. We live near the bay, so whenever we hear helicopters, it's about 50% likely it's coast guard related. Usually they're just out training, but a couple weeks ago a small fishing boat capsized during some rough weather and I know that at least one of the crew died. It could have been much worse if the coast guard hadn't responded so quickly. I'm thankful for those who choose to be involved in such a valuable, lifesaving–yet very risky–profession.
Goodness me … yes it made the news here in Perth, Western Australia. Sending love to those involved x
So sad x
I have been following this one. It is very sad.
So tragic. I'm glad you are safe
oh, my!!! I'm so glad you're safe. How very sad for all the ones involved 🙁
terrible tragedy. We were at a dinner on Saturday night and the guest of honour was from Glasgow. He too asked us all to remember those who have affected.
I'm so glad you're one of the lucky ones!!
