I don’t know what it was about this week, possibly the fact that I finally that I finally finished the end burying on the rainbow last Thursday, but I’ve suddenly felt full of the joys of spring, rather like a load was lightened. I had a fun Friday afternoon at ‘work’ when we all went bowling (it was hilarious), I got some fun and some secret sewing done on Saturday (all will be revealed after Mother’s day in a couple of weeks), I had some fun shopping on Sunday where I brought home a new baby and got some fun photo props, and then I went over to my grans and had a nice afternoon and evening with her. I got some truly amazing BB news yesterday too, which nicely rounded off the weekend. Yep, it was all about the fun this week :o)
Finishes This Week:
Yep, it’s finally done! But… due to the recipient heading off on holiday imminently, and the date that it has to be sent in for the show being while he’s away, I’ll have to send it straight to the show, and I don’t want to reveal until he’s seen it, sorry. The good news is this is the last week you’ll have to see this ;o)
In Progress This Week:
I suddenly took a notion on Saturday evening after the secret sewing to dig out my remaining 2 achievable FAL projects for the quarter and have a go at them. Firstly, these hexies, which I’ve appliqued to the back, and now quilted since taking this pic, and which will hopefully be a cushion cover by next week:
And secondly using these Japanese X & + blocks I got in a swap about 18 months ago. I pieced these 4 together, and quilted it in a loopy, pebbly effect with no real plan. It will also hopefully be a cushion cover by next week:
To Be Worked On This Week:
Finish the cushions
Work on my QAYG bag
Whatever else wanders through my sewing area
I hope you all had a great week! Linking up as ever to:
