Are you going to the Stitch Gathering in Edinburgh this year?
Jo’s been plotting and planning again, and the workshops for this year’s event have recently been announced.
I’m teaching again this year, and I promise I won’t make anyone cut up a million pieces of paper this time round ;o) My class will be in making this block-fronted tote bag, perfect for using up orphan blocks, or making your own special block for, and great for taking to markets or even the supermarket!
I might have had a little too much fun with my new photo area creating this set up, but you can see on the left hand tote a flower block I made using some applique and stitch sketching, while on the right I used my Carl the Chameleon block that I pattern tested a couple of years ago (some of you may recognise this one :o) )
This simple bag takes in inline slip pockets with piping, an inner zipped pocket and a magnetic snap, for a nice range of techniques over the class.
To book your ticket, pop over to Jo’s site, or even head into her new shop in Edinburgh on Fridays and Saturdays, 10-5 at 50 Lochrin Building, Gilmore Place, Edinburgh, EH3 9ND. Hope to see you there!
Lovely bags, and lovely photo. It will be a fun day at the gathering with all the great teachers, including you.
Looking forward to seeing you there! Juliex
I love those bags and that photo – I can't believe you've set that up in your flat, it looks like it's been taken in a studio! I'm not going to S.G. this year but I'm determined that one year I will – I have a friend in Edinburgh with a spare room so I'll be able to come up and stay for a few days…
love your totes, especially the chameleon. So adorable!!!
Lovely photograph! I have my ticket all sorted and am looking forward to the day, it was really fun last year.
Sounds like a fun time is coming up . Sadly its just a wee bit too far for me to come or I'd be there like a shot!
Oh I wish!!!!!
I was hoping to be there this year but will be heading out to Seville instead to meet my first grandchild and turns out he's expected to arrive on 12 Sept. Maybe next year! Have lots of fun 😀

Great photo, sounds like it will be a fun class. Will be heading south for our son's wedding that weekend otherwise I would be all signed up, hoping to get there next year 🙂
Rather superb photo. Looking forward to year 2.
Love you photo Katy, and the bags too! Photography course was obviously worth it!
Ooooh love the photo! And it's so nice to see Carl again. As much as I'd love to do your class it's probably a wee bit far ;o)
I need a trip to Scotland to take classes with you!
