Are you going to the Stitch Gathering in Edinburgh this year?

Jo’s been plotting and planning again, and the workshops for this year’s event have recently been announced.

I’m teaching again this year, and I promise I won’t make anyone cut up a million pieces of paper this time round ;o)  My class will be in making this block-fronted tote bag, perfect for using up orphan blocks, or making your own special block for, and great for taking to markets or even the supermarket!

I might have had a little too much fun with my new photo area creating this set up, but you can see on the left hand tote a flower block I made using some applique and stitch sketching, while on the right I used my Carl the Chameleon block that I pattern tested a couple of years ago (some of you may recognise this one :o) )

This simple bag takes in inline slip pockets with piping, an inner zipped pocket and a magnetic snap, for a nice range of techniques over the class.

To book your ticket, pop over to Jo’s site, or even head into her new shop in Edinburgh on Fridays and Saturdays, 10-5 at 50 Lochrin Building, Gilmore Place, Edinburgh, EH3 9ND.  Hope to see you there!
