So have you seen the new issue of Fat Quarterly magazine?
This Zakka packed issue has a whole host of wee projects, in best Zakka style, include a little something by yours truly:
I made this star crossed tablecloth using the Makower Retro Bake line, along with about all the text prints I’ve ever collected between swaps and a little buying over the years. The pink is an old Sweetwater print that I got in a sale some time and worked perfectly with the pink print in the Retro Bake line.
The purpose of the tablecloth was to add to my little photo prop collection in my mini retro studio:
And here’s a close up of the stars and crosses (sorry, the stars are hard to photograph as that pink is so pale!)
Now go and pick up your copy so you can check out all the other fabulous makes in this 103 page, project packed issue!
Doesn't it look well in your studio set-up! Give yourself a gold star – which might be easier to photograph than a pale pink one!
It's a lovely little quilt, it looks great in your studio!
What Ann and Leanne said!
It's beautiful! I have my copy 🙂
It;s fantastic Katy. Great prop and now a bonafide magazine worthy quilt too!
Sweeeeeeeet! I loves me some texty prints!:) I love that the star is so subtle!
Oooh, lovely, well done on your publication! I love the colours of this one, it looks so sweet with the pink pops. This would make the most cute gift for a new little baby girl.
So cute! I have most of those fabrics in your little quilt ; )
A great little quilt for your photography.
Hugs Kay
It's a lovely design and I'm thrilled to be sharing some space in this issue with you.
Well done Katy! It's very pretty
I love your tablecloth. Zakat style has always fascinated me, I will have to give it a try sometime.
its so pretty and your photography is grea, puts mine to shame (and I try really hard, honest!)
Very pretty, Katy! I love your choice of fabrics!
Thank you so much :o)
How coool, you're in a magazine! Congratumalations! :):)
What a great idea to make the tablecloth as a prop.
That's lovely! I keep looking st my texty charms and trying to decide what to do with them!
At the risk of being stoned, what is Zakka? Yes, I know it's been around on blogland for a while now, but I never did figure it out from the different projects shown and haven't seen a description of it
