When Saturday started for me at 4am and I didn’t get home until 9:30 pm due to a charity event for work, you’ll understand that my weekend sewing wasn’t high in volume, but I have got 4 lots of bee blocks/bits done this week, so I’m all up to date with my bee commitments at least. This coming weekend Jack and I will be taking Little Miss Tinking Along up to the Highlands, so not much time will be had for sewing then, but the weekend after that? That’s the bank holiday weekend and I have my eyes set on 3 uninterrupted days of doing exactly as I please (shh, don’t anybody curse that now!) Which might mean sewing or photography or… well who knows, but 3.whole.days…
Finishes This Week:
Stitch Tease blocks for Ange which will be part of a Marcel Medallion border:
Modern Stitching Bee Union Jack blocks for Rhonda:
And secret Brit Bee Medallion sewing x2, of which this is all I can show you (as it’s suitably cryptic ;o) )
In Progress This Week:
This lot is now 2 strips worth into being a quilt top, with 3 strips to go, but I’m afraid as the strips are so huge, I can’t get a photo, so you’ll have to make do with this again:
To Be Worked On This Week:
Those panels from last week need to become a bag + a pattern
Slowing down my countryside driving (my passengers for the charity event were a little green…)
Hope you’ve all had a great week! Linking up with Lee and the gang:
Wow, it sounds like you had a very long day on Saturday. I hope the event went well! Your progress and blocks look great, and I especially drawn to your sneak peek because of the colors and the fact that it is, well, a tantalizing thing to know there is much more detail! 🙂
These are looking good! Love the stars and those pluses.
The black and white stars are very striking!
P.S. I think Blogger must be hungry as he seems to have eaten my first comment. My apologies if this is a duplicate comment!
Lovely blocks!
Eep, I feel like the Brit Bee stars attacked my eyes! They're very nice and pointy… ;D
That sounds like a wonderful weekend!
You still made progress this week and thats what counts. I've had plenty of time for sewing of late and no motivation!
Why am I not surprised that you're a leadfoot?
WHAT time ? I don't think that exists here, not in my house anyway!!!!!
Those plus blocks are gorgeous. Get some sleep :.)
Good to see a bit of brown going into a quilt 😉
I love those pointy black and white star blocks! Any chance you know of a tutorial you could link to? I have a great idea for a project, but math is my least favorite part of quilting!
Beautiful blocks Katy – love the Union Jacks!
the black and white looks intriguing
Are those black and white blocks really black and white or have you hidden the colours as part of the sneak peek? A full black and white quilt would be effective. Hmm, another to add to the list
