Ahh, this last week had a bank holiday weekend, and it was the first weekend in months that I didn’t have a single other thing to do (not that I didn’t have options, I was just good at saying no!) My next few weekends are busy again (although for the life of me I can’t remember what I promised I would do on the 6th September – anybody? Anybody?), so this weekend I luxuriated in the 3 whole days to do as I wished.
On Saturday I perused my newly delivered Quilt Now magazine, then meandered on through an 8 month backlog of magazines that had lain unread. That inspired 8 new pattern designs that I noted down for future use, as well as a clearout of old mags to take to the recycling at the tip. On Sunday I started making the bag from my Sew Fine Fabrics, which in turn inspired my first ever video review/demonstration thingy, which will appear later this week. Finally, on Monday, I learned how to edit said video, and wrote up a few things, and started pulling and cutting fabrics for my stop on the Craft Buds blog hop.

I'm looking forward to seeing what your craft book project blocks look like. The mini they're based on is really fun! 🙂
Love the WIPs! Great fabric choices.
Thank you :o)
I wish I was as clever as you. What's the inside of the bag look like?
How lovely to have a weekend filled with sewing! I hope it was relaxing for you! I love your new bag and can't wait to see your project for the craft book hop!
Now that is the way to spend a Bank Holiday !
Lots of interesting things coming up then? 6th September I'm getting my hair cut again for the wedding and hopefully getting my "something borrowed" so I can't make the EMMQG meeting, you weren't planning on coming down to visit us were you?
Love the quilt and of course the bag. It is such great fabric,
Hugs Kay
That mini is very cool. Are you making a much bigger version?
Another productive week. Sometimes I wonder where you get your energy from . Are you sure you don't have ADD?
That's a great looking messenger bag
That's an extra fabulous banded bag!! Have fun sewing your Crafty Book Month blocks.
