So I never did work out if I was meant to be anywhere on Saturday, and no-one called me on it, so I’m thinking it’s all good that I spent the day cutting, with a bit of sewing thrown in. Sunday was the 2 3 4 5 monthly haircut just after lunch, complete with a lovely head massage, which was rather soporific considering all the extra hours I worked last week (over 3 extra days’ worth of hours, but who’s counting, since I don’t get paid overtime…)
Anywho, I got all my own Stitch Gathering class prep done, then added a bit of self flagellation for realising I’d got a bit trigger happy with the delete key and deleted the lining pocket piece from the cutting instructions when splitting things out to add in prep, so had to e-mail the class list *sigh*. I also got all my cutting done for tomorrow’s Craft Buds Craft Book Month Blog Hop Stop (try saying that after a few drinks!), and have done some stitching in the last couple of days, then literally thrown it at the wall. Handily the wall is covered in batting, so it stuck ;o)
Finishes This Week:
None that I can share until after the tote swap at the Stitch Gathering on Sunday, sorry!
In Progress This Week:
This is the block that will be the front pocket of my Block Fronted Tote, which is the class I’m teaching on Sunday. Apologies for the seemingly floating dresden, it’s just on a white on white print background, which is itself on some white foam core board (think I need to grab some black!):
And this is what I cut, and then started sewing together for tomorrow:
To Be Worked On This Week:
Teaching will probably be the most sewing I get done this week, since mum and I are going to a new food festival in Edinburgh on Saturday
Linking up with Lee and the gang:
Love the colors for tomorrow's project! Can't wait to see it!
if there no rest for the wicked you must be pure dead evil… :-p
I love dresdens. Yours look amazing!
Love the look of your drunkard's paths for tomorrow (have I got that name right? no idea, quite possibly I'm on completely the wrong track). Anyhow, whatever it is you're making I love the colours and fabrics! Juliex
You need to be paid overtime!
Ooh, that's cool that you're teaching a(nother) class! I hope you have lots of fun at the food festival! 🙂
Cool – a floating dresdan! I've said it before, I know, but I'm loving the fabrics youre using for your DP blocks.
Awesome! Love all the cheery colors.
Thank you :o)
How gorgeous is that Dresden…sigh
Laughing at you chucking something in frustration only to have it hit the design wall . I threaten to chuck my sewing machine out of the window occasionally ….
Looks like you;re going to be sewing curves…curves are scary!
That's one pretty Dresden! My last one didn't lie flat – so frustrating! Jxo
I really want to make a dresden plate block, I never have made a proper one. I hope you get some rest too, you sound a bit overworked.
Such cheerful, bright fabrics. Your Dresden Plate is delightful and the Drunkard's Path looks just as much fun.
Gorgeous fabrics for the DP blocks, it's going to be fab!
No overtime? Not even some time off in lieu?! Crikey! Hope SG went well yesterday!
