I have come home from work the last couple of nights with an absolutely pounding headache. I’m sneezing rather too much for my liking right now as well, I hope this isn’t going somewhere! Anyway, before I got hit by the ick, I had a bee block-tastic weekend, catching up on everything that was outstanding, and then I started tackling the 240 HSTs I need for my Reunion quilt. After what has felt like a million triangles this weekend, I had rather lost the will to live by the end of Sunday, so perhaps the headaches have been enforced breaks so I don’t tackle them again ;o)
Finishes This Week:
September Stitch Tease blocks for Annabella – Shattered Chevrons using this pattern from Play Crafts:
October Stitch Tease Blocks for Jen – geeses in 6 1/2″ x 12 1/2″ blocks. They were made using the no-waste method, and the example pattern had them pointing different ways, so I went to town a bit looking for different arrangements!
Alas, the other 2 bee blocks (or 1 4 patch and 2 strips each to be precise) are for the super secret Brit Bee medallions, so here’s my IG sneaky peek of the 40 geese I made:
In Progress This Week:
HSTs forever and ever and ever… Did I mention there were 240? Feels like about 24 million. Exaggerate much? Me?!
To Be Worked On This Week:
Those HSTs. Enough said…
Linking up with Lee and the gang:
Hope the headaches and the sneezes don't get any worse. Look after yourself xxxx
Great work and hope you don't get ill! Rest Katy!!
I hope you start feeling better soon! You always get an amazing amount accomplished even when you are sick.
Ooo, I love those Shattered Chevrons blocks – thanks for linking to the tutorial!
I hope you feel better soon! And while you're at it, can I throw in some of my hsts that need to be trimmed, too? ;D
All your bee blocks look perfect for their recipients. I don't envy you having to make 240 HST. 120 about did me in.
Yay for progress! Sorry to hear about your sneezing and headaches, I have had the same thing (minues the headaches), but plenty of congestion and sneezing due to the allergies with the quick change of weather. Hope yours gets better! On the other hand, I am really oogling (it's a Megan word) over your blocks… loving the colors! I love bright, cheery and happy!
fingers crossed for no ick. well done on the geese marathon! hsts too, voluntarily…. cripes
OOOOH …I like those shattered chevrons. What a great scrap busting project they would make…that may well be going on my 2015 list !
You can keep the geese- I suck at doing those.
240 HST’s is bound to drive anyone mad….although to be honest you were halfway there anyway before you started .
Are you making a Tangential quilt? I still haven't finished trimming my 240.
I hope those headaches go away soon!
So sorry you aren't feeling good! Take it easy and eventually….good luck on those HSTs!
I am sorry you are not well, get better soon. I couldn't pick which one I liked the best. Good luck with your progress.
Hoping you don't go downhill. I'm knackered just looking at that lot. Juliex
think I'm getting your sneezes. The bee blocks all look really great, love the chevrons.
Those chevrons are gorgeous. Wrap up in a quilt and sip tea : )
Have a great week
I love the flying geese, beautiful. Enjoy your HST's I'm working on them too!
I suspected I was allergic to HSTs, but maybe I'd made it up, but now I'm more convinced that ever that a true allergy exists! Hope you recover
I love the shattered chevrons!!
I love the chevrons too!
Hope the headaches improve, so debilitating
Great blocks. And love that little robot fabric.
Hope you manage to fight off whatever bug is trying to hit. The current ones doing the rounds is not fun
What a pretty chevrons! I hope you doing better.
