Issue 7 of Quilt Now has hit the newstands this week, so I thought I’d show you my project. Now this should originally have been in issue 6, but I was a little long winded, so I got bumped ;o)
I created this project bag using only fat quarters, and I was amazed at what I could get out of a single piece, like these perfectly aligned deer.
Unfortunately I don’t have a magazine photo of the inside, but here’s one I took before I sent it off:
Now there are a couple of corrections to the article – supplies EXCEPT for the fabric were from Mandors, Glasgow.
Also, there’s a typo in the measurements for the outer piece, which should be 10″ x 13 1/2″, sorry about that!
Long-winded? Toi?? You must be mixing yourself up,with someone else!
looking good! fun fabrics.
Great bag! All the zippered compartments are so handy!
That looks like a very handy bag to have! Congratulations on another great magazine project!
Another fabulous bag!! It's great that you're sharing them in magazines.
I've never had a problem with meeting the minimum word number for anything so I fully empathise with you! It looks great, love the fabrics. Juliex
hee hee, that's funny! Gratzy on another published project — it looks great! 🙂
It looked great in the mag though I thought it odd there was no full pic of the inside printed. It is helpful to see what it is supposed to look like while you are amking it. Looks like a useful little bag for all sorts of purposes though!
Looks good. It is always nice to get in print.
That looks like a very handy bag! With so many pockets I can well understand why you would need to be a bit long winded with the instructions 🙂
The ever-lovely RR bought me a subscription for Christmas, so hopefully this will be the first issue they send me, if not I will have to track a copy down when I go home at the end of the month to see Mum as this bag looks totally amazing!

The front fabric is just perfect, I love the way it show off the print. A project bag is such a good idea too, it saves it from being put into another sad carrier bag.
Looks great! Jxo
looks good, that little buzzy bee is one of my favourites.
Perfect.
What a nice shape for a bag. Your fabric choice is perfect 🙂
Congrats! I loved the look of the bag in the magazine and even more so since seen the inside 🙂 Perfect choice for the fabric too!
All. My friends are becoming famous through their publications. Meanwhile, I'm still here twiddling my thumbs. Congratulations
I've actually found and bought a copy of this at last! Now to find time to read it!
My favorite project! My issue is on it's way!! Woo!
Is the outer facing piece and the main lining piece supposed to be cut at 10" x 13&1/2 "?
Hi Jodi,
Yes, please see the last line in the post, there was a typo in the print edition, sorry about that.
Thanks
