Thanks to the hard work of my lovely pattern testers over the past few weeks, my Traveller Bag pattern is now available from my shop:
Designed to fit with most airline carry-on size restrictions, as the pattern cover suggests, there are a number of features that make this bag your ideal travelling companion:
- External inset zipped pocket, ideal for holding
travel documents - External bellows pocket with snap closure,
perfect to store a book and snack for use on the journey - Internal inset zipped pocket, well placed to
hold small items you don’t want to misplace - Internal divided pockets, excellent for holding
a pair of shoes - Detachable, adjustable strap, so you can choose
how best to carry your bag - Bag feet to protect your bag from muddy puddles
The use of both fabric and leather leaves a nice, professional finish for your bag, people will all want to travel handmade like you!
You may recall that I make the original bag for my mum for Christmas using a lovely heavyweight faux wool fabric, and here’s what my fabulous testers created:
Chris went a little dotty with hers, along with beautiful pale leather accents:
Tamara went for a rugged, all fabric approach with hers, ideal for the snow and ice she was experiencing as she made it:
One of Anneliese’s cheeky monkeys decided she needed to help show off her mum’s new London themed bag, made specially for an upcoming trip to London, complete with an additional key fob:
And finally, Lynne got hers fully kitty approved, in fact every time she opened it, her two cats felt the urge to leap in…
Thank you ladies for all your hard work, and hope you get to go to loads of wonderful places with your new bags!
All your pattern testers have done a great job and produced a terrific array of bags that anyone would be proud to carry but I still, in a completely unbiased way you understand, think that mine is the very best!
Wow! They all look so incredible! Congratulations on another fabulous pattern release!
Congratulations! My Traveller Bag is on my side, I've just written about my Bag 🙂
It looks like a sturdy, stylish and stupendous bag. It's fun seeing the different fabrics your testers chose to make them in.
Nice work Katy! (and testers!) This bag looks so darn useful and the leather accents really take it up a notch (not to mention its a great way to protect those often bashed corners). I hope it's a best seller!
This looks great Katy, well done on all your hard work.
You have great testers. their bags look great. Good luck selling your pattern.
I think this is going to be a very popular pattern!
Lovely bags, good luck with the pattern.
Oh wow! Gorgeous! I wimped out of even the basic bag, I'll have a go *with* Jackie – I'm rubbish at following instructions – I improvise (bodge) while she understands instructions!!!
Fantastic looking prototypes…showing how versatile this pattern is. Good luck with the pattern release.
Oh love this!! Hope it sells a bunch 🙂
