You know what they say about the best laid plans of mice and men?  Well those mice ran riot last week and the men kept me in the office till mad hours on a couple of evenings at the end of last week, so the Saturday trip to the post office turned into a Tuesday one instead, as I didn’t finish all my ‘must do’ sewing until Sunday.  No real rush though, I posted everything on time, and took my gran out for lunch down the Clyde Valley on Saturday, not to mention writing a rather epic post for Monday on precision seam allowances, and also writing up the patterns for the 2 QN projects I was sending off (amidst much procrastination) so it was all good.

This weekend I’m pondering a trip to West Kilbride Craft Town, which I’ve been meaning to visit since reading about it in a magazine last year, and I might take my camera to the beach for a wee wander too.  Which no doubt means it will be absolutely pouring all weekend…  Hope you all have a great week!

Finishes This Week:

Phew, well, I got my Cotton + Steel Mini Swap completed and posted off (more of that on Friday)

Then I got my 2nd Quilt Now project finished and posted.

Then I got my Stitch Tease bee blocks for Di finished and posted,  These were from a tutorial by Ashley at Film In The Fridge which creates a range of blocks that finish at the same size, but which have a different combination of corner squares and centre crosses:

Seam allowance tutorial, which you can find here:

In Progress This Week:

Sunday saw me reunited with the My Small World quilt, and I’m now working on Part 2.  So far I’ve got the roof of the building at the top completed, and I’m working on the doors for the building part.  I have the fabric pulled for the arrow and churn dash blocks ready to leap into them after that, and of course I got all my flowr blocks done at the start, so I’m not doing too badly:

To Be Worked On This Week:
