The postman deigned to make his bi-monthly trawl up all 13 stairs to my front door this week and delivered the latest issue of Quilt Now, that has been in the shops since last Thursday, and with subscribers rather longer. But hey, one of you might have missed it, right? ;o)
My project this month was inspired by my trip up to see the Sleepy clan in May, when we went to the beach and I came back all covered in sand (because it was actually me, not the wee one that got wellies full of sand ;o) ). Also, I came back with pockets full of shells, and it reminded me that I’ve been collecting shells and stones from strange beaches for as long as I can remember. It is a bit of a pain to get sand out of the various crevices in the car, so I thought a wee container for storing treasures for the kids (big and small) would be handy, and it can double up as a bin too, with tags to tie it onto the headrest. I can’t wait to get these back for my own car!
I also found myself in rather illustrious company on the next page showing you how to insert bag feet (which you may recall from a recent post here!)
The Lotta Jansdotter laminate and the fun dotty laminate lining used in my project can be obtained from Remnant Kings both online and in store!
Is there room in the back of your car for anything else??! Lovely x
laminate baskets are a great idea. It can be hard to get to the sand out of lots of crevices. The problem is, how do I stop my baskets and bags falling over in the boot? Do I need a basket for my baskets?
Great idea! Congrats on being published 🙂
13 stairs or 13 sets of stairs?!
Love the shell collecting – we do that too xx
I love the beach combing baskets!
