Whew, this last week has flown by!  I had my first class of the new session last Thursday, and I have 1 returnee and 7 lovely new faces that have come along to make the Fat Quarter Shop Charm Box Quilt.  We spent the first night just playing with fabric, and doing a little light cutting – some of the ladies were just overawed with rotary cutters, having only used scissors so far in their sewing careers, I may have unleashed a monster ;o)

On Friday, my last day off, I popped up to rural Perthshire to get some photos of the autumn leaves… only to find that they haven’t actually turned yet!  The ranger at Killiecrankie said she’d never seen the leaves green so late, so it’ll be a couple of weeks at least.  It was a nice day out anyway.

Saturday and Sunday saw me procrastinate like nothing on earth making the first of our Sew Brit Bag Camp bags, but it’s 3/4 done now.  It won’t be complete until I can get back to Remnant Kings on Saturday for a wee bit more fabric though, after a slight miscalculation ;o)

Finishes This Week:

Alas, none

In Progress This Week:

This is the fabrics I’m making the bag from.  The middle two are from a lovely new collection of home dec fabrics at Remnant Kings:

After some sulking about the miscalculation on the bag fabrics, I decided to start cutting into this little lot so that I could get going on my Schnitzel & Boo Mini Swap.  Thankfully I worked them out right ;o)

To Be Worked On This Week:

Finish the bag
Get the top for the mini pieced
Get another secret project worked on (after some advice from my class tomorrow night)
Watch the rugby (without rotary cutter in hand, it might be dangerous!)  COYBIG

Hope you’ve all had a fab week!
