This was a week of running around, not entirely expectedly. It started with a sale in Curry’s coinciding with a cashback offer on traded in old computers and the fact that my old laptop flat out refused to play with Adobe Creative Cloud, which then triggered the purchase of a new one. Now at home I use a desktop, so only use a laptop when travelling/away from home, so when the old laptop went on strike in Anglesey at the end of August, I was more annoyed when I was away than when I got back, because I knew I wouldn’t really need a replacement for a while. I was going to wait for the Black Friday sales, but then £200 off a £700 laptop seemed like too good a deal to pass up (and those sales rarely have the high end kit in them anyway). To cut a long story short, when gran and I were out on Saturday and went to pick one up, it turned out the only one in stock was the display model, or there was one in a box in Dundee, or I could order online. Hmm, 170 mile round trip to Dundee versus delivery to me, no brainer… except for the e-mail I got on Monday when it was due to be delivered to tell me that actually, it wasn’t in stock online after all. I ended up in Dundee after work on Monday night.
I was also in Edinburgh on Saturday afternoon, meeting up with the lovely Jo of My Bearpaw fame, and on Sunday I was meant to work. In the end work was cancelled and I got to watch the rugby. It’s not often I say this, but I wish I’d been at work…

In Progress This Week:
When I wasn’t gallivanting around the country or shouting in vain at the telly, I managed to get the top for my Schnitzel & Boo mini completed and all the papers ripped. Now I need to consult Christa via her Machine Quilting With Style book to work out how to quilt it!
I picked up the replacement fabric for my Sew Brit Bag Camp bag too, and got a few more bits sewn on, but not enough to show you yet!
I also got advice from my class on a secret project and how to arrange it, so after we shuffled bits around a bit and worked out where I needed to fill in the gaps, I got a photo to work from, so hopefully I’ll get them sorted this weekend.
I love that mini!!
P.S. Happy new laptop!
Don't forget you have to play with your other new toy!
Visiting from Lee's WIP Wed, lovely quilt top, what perfect points!
Your S&B mini is great! So bright and cheery! and perfect!!Looking forward to seeing what Christa tells you to do 😉

Happy quilting!
Loving that mini, such disappointment in those rugby results, I feel quite disheartened 🙁
wow what a wild week! But cool mini!
Had to listen to the rugby in the car journey back from Cardiff, so I was that person yelling at the radio on the M6! My poor son was at work, he's a rugby video analyst, in his Scotland top so you can imagine how bad he felt that afternoon 🙂
I love that top!
