‘Tis the season to be chained to your sewing machine, feverishly churning out Christmas presents – Ho, Ho, Help!  I was doing pretty well on Saturday with a bag for my mum, I calculated things, then cut and fused and started to sew, but then Sunday led to a small temper tantrum after discovering that I’d forgotten to sew 2 bits on in a sensible order, which actually turned out to be a good thing, because I turned my machine off, and just as I was thinking about going back to it the electricity substation outside my flat went bang and we lost power for several hours!  By yesterday, when I thought I might return to the last bits of the project, I had a pounding headache after work, so I just couldn’t face turning on the machine.  I ended up making a wee ornament that I could have sworn I’d said I didn’t have time for yet!  Oh well, when the creative urge calls, sometimes felt and glue can deliver for you :oD

As you read this I will be eating Christmas dinner in the canteen at work, I hope you’ve all been having lovely festivities too!

Finishes This Week:

This wee machine is from a pattern by Betz White that you can find in her Etsy shop here, should you feel the urge (and/or have a headache)  I have no tree to put it on, but I do happen to have some Christmas bunting from my old beemate Di, so it may find itself on there

In Progress This Week:

It being the season of secret sewing, this is as much as I can show you of the bag I’m making for my mum:

To Be Worked On This Week:

I finish work for Christmas this week, and am off until the 6th January, so I’m hoping to get the following done instead of being in the office:

Finish the bag for mum
Make dad’s present (and hopefully not freeze my posterior off in the loft cutting it out)
Make issue 20’s project for Quilt Now
Catch up on some pattern writing

Hope you all have a great week!  Linking up with Lee and the gang:
