It’s that time of the year again when I have the crazy 5 am starts for the day job several mornings a week which always puts me a bit out of whack – either I’m super productive or, well, I’m not.  This week I managed to multi-task on no end of conference calls and got my flat cleaned (hoovering aside, there’s a limit!) but on the flip side my sewing was not so prolific as the evenings, when I normally sew, were shot!  Oh well, there’s always next month (yeah, 2 more weeks to go of this madness).  My dad and I also finally fixed my roof at the weekend, so no more effing pigeons!  Hope you all had a great week :o)

Finishes This Week:

One of my multi-tasking activities this week was reshuffling some of my bag making hardware after I picked up a few new bits recently.  I originally had these sorts of bits in one of the colourful box sets on the right in the photo (there’s 2 sets stacked here), so when I saw the set on the left in B&Q I knew it would be perfect to store all the things.  Then I saw another of the colourful box sets on sale and decided I needed to put all my Kam snaps in them divided by colour and size (I have a slight obsession with the B&Q tool storage section).  You all sit and sort things armed with your Dymo label maker, right?

In Progress This Week:

Remember this pile from last week?  I now have all the bits cut and the interfacing fused.  It will be sewed together this weekend because it has to

I did get inspired for a couple of new quilts over the past couple of weeks, so I pulled the fabric out and did a rough sketch for each, so I’m good to go when I get spare time (ha!)  I’ve had both these bundles for a couple of years so it seemed like their time had come.

I also cut the bits for Jo for the next Brit Bee block on the planner.

To Be Worked On This Week:

  • Finish at least one of the bags
  • Get the bee block done and posted
  • Maybe cut the fabric piles above

Hope you all have a great week!
