All in all last week was a bit of a blur with lots of work and not a lot of sleep, but at some point during the week I managed to finish my next QN pattern and to order a lot of things to solve my bobbin and thread problem. You didn’t know I had a thread problem too, right? Nor me, I got sucked in by Amazon’s ‘other people bought this’ thing at some point in my sleep deprived state. I’m anxiously waiting to see what turns up…
What’s keeping me going is that at one point as I pressed the button for yet another tedious test run, I had a moment of clarity about some upcoming things I wanted to design patterns for, so I’ve got a good 3 or 4 QN patterns I’m all set for now, which should take me well up to the Christmas issue (because in magazine land Christmas happens in mid summer). I also put in a proposal in for a good few classes to teach locally, so all in all not a totally disastrous week.
Finishes This Week:
As ever, the best I can show you is that this is the outside of my latest QN project. I’d asked on IG for opinions on which of the options, left or right, I should go for for the binding. It divided opinion greatly between the ‘stripe and gentle colour’ crowd and the ‘in your face pink’ crowd. I could tell you what I chose in the end, but then I’d have to kill you…
In Progress This Week:
I’ve ordered a way to tackle this mess, tune in soon (whenever Amazon delivers) to see what I did (trust me, I’m as curious as you!):
To Be Worked On This Week:
- Start cutting those lovely piles of fabric you saw a couple of weeks ago. The Mustang is on my cutting table now just waiting to be unwrapped!
- Maybe get a jump start on those QN patterns I dreamt up
- Start prepping for Katy and Lori’s grand Island tour
I hope you all have a great week!
When do you find time to sleep?
Re above comment, you have already admitted to no sleep although maybe that was not a voluntary state??
Bobbing along on the bottom of the beautiful briny sea … What on earth have you signed up for?…..
