This has been another slightly crazy week at the day job, but I sewed! I took my gran out for lunch and I sewed and I went to a quilt shop, and I’m quite sure that that rejuvenated me and meant that calm has washed over me on my 2 early mornings this week. Of course it also may have been that I’ve agreed with my boss for the best part of 4 weeks off in exchange for all the extra crazy hours I’ve worked, so that this time next week I can dance out the door and be on a break, but we’ll go with the sewing ;o) I also got some organising done when I was too tired to sew, so I’m calling that a win too.
Finishes This Week:
I got all my bobbins and threads sorted!
In Progress This Week:
Unfortunately the quilt I’m working on is at that awkward stage where it’s too big to fit on the wall, but it’s still in too many pieces to go to my pet carpark for a top photo, so here’s my favourite block to keep you going:
I also reached the stage where the ickiness of my ironing board overrode my ability to put up with it, so I’ve pulled this to make the replacement cover this weekend, as soon as that quilt top is finished:
To Be Worked On This Week:
- Finish the quilt
- Replace the ironing board cover
- Work on the next Quilt Now project
I hope you all have a great week!
Just love the nine patch from C+S!
yay for the organization and double yay for a bit of time off!!
With time off there’s no end to how much you’ll get done. Can’t wait to see the whole quilt top. You do find the most interesting fabrics. I especially like the type writer pieces.
Love the fussy cut nine patch, and four weeks off? Result! Well done x
Love those bobbin towers! Enjoy your break from work!
Those bobbin thingies are brilliant
