This last week has been all about showing my visitors Scotland in the sun – the sun!!!  It’s been glorious weather, I may even have revelled in teasing some of my southern neighbours in their cold and rain ;o)  Anyway, we trekked around a lot of Glasgow, but I did get some evening sewing in before we left on the grand tour up north, and I’ve taken some hexies and a clamshell purse template with me to play with.  There may or may not be Instagram photos to back the last 2 up, it will depend on the signal out in the middle of nowhere!  I did contemplate smuggling Little Sod and Cussed on board the camper, but that would have been mean, so I smuggled Trivial Pursuit on board instead.  It’s a UK version, does that mean I’ll have an unfair advantage over the Alaskans? ;o)

In Progress This Week:

I’ve been working with this Bake Sale line that I think I’ve hoarded for a couple of years now.  There are the start of some bento box sections, and I’m keeping everything crossed that I have enough FQs to make the size I need before chopping up, because, you know, two years old and long gone from the shops…

This is my hexie project – they’re huge hexies, 2 1/2″ per side, but there’s a huge plan for where they have to go, so I hope it works out!  I’m using a couple of charm packs of Doe (1 has already been converted last year before I ran out of glue), along with co-ordinating Kona solids and Karen Lewis Textiles co-ordinates that she printed especially to go with Doe:

And this will be my clamshells, a charm pack of Tula’s True Colours with the medium sized template:

To Be Worked On This Week:

  • Continuing the hexies
  • Generating a few more clamshells
  • Recovering from the grand tour

Hope you all have a great and productive week!
