I got a nice long weekend this week as payback for some of the crazy hours I’ve been doing, and my newly retired parents came up to see my gran so I got to go out and play with them on Monday at the Poppies Weeping Window in Perth and at the Kelpies in Falkirk. I also got on with a new pattern, which I stopped at 10 pm on Saturday when I got to a hammering bit (thinking it might be a bit unfair on the guy downstairs!), and haven’t had a chance to get the holes punched and the rivets set since after taking them over to do at gran’s on the Sunday and the wind nearly blowing me and the project to Edinburgh! In the meantime I did get a couple of bits of bee block for Trudi and another border on last week’s Cross Cut QAL starter.
Finishes This Week:
None
In Progress This Week:
I don’t really have a photo of the pattern in progress, so I’ll just leave you with this teaser from the #saturdaynightcraftalong
This is the progress on the Brit Bee block for Trudi so far. She requested ditsy 30’s prints, so I hope this fulfils the brief! There’s a feather left to go in there, which is currently in paper pieces, but will hopefully be done in the next couple of days:
I forgot to take a photo of the next border, so imagine another text print round about 2″ wide round this ;o)
To Be Worked On This Week:
- Finish the bee block
- Start on my next Quilt Now project now that I have the fabrics
- Finish the new pattern project
- Maybe get on with the Cross Cut QAL starter..
Hope you all have a great week!
I finally figured out how to read your blog on my iPad. I have to turn it to portrait in order to read easily!
I really love the text and X blocks xx
