Yesterday was the 4th Stitch Gathering in Edinburgh hosted, as ever, by the fabulous Jo Avery of My Bearpaw.
We started with registration and the distribution of the goodie bags. There are so many companies to thank for this, and I’ve tagged them all on Instagram, but they were very generous in their sponsorship of the event:
In the morning I helped the lovely Julie of Forest Poppy with her Bucket Bag class, although I forgot to get any photos of the finished product! Hopefully Julie will have some :o)
The afternoon saw my class making the ironing mat/caddy that I created for Quilt Now earlier this year as part of my ‘Things To Take To A Sewing Retreat’ series. This is the original:
And here are some of the results of the class:

Suzanne:
Dawn:
And Lesley:
And here they all are hard at work:
I had nearly 100% finish in class, just a couple with the binding left to add when they got home – well done ladies!
Now of course I couldn’t leave without a small trip to the ‘in-retreat’ store, so I rescued one or two things that shouted after me. Personally I blame Jo for getting in the Carolyn Friedlander Euclid line, because that triggered the spending!
All in all it was a lovely event, and I hope to see some of you there next year :o)
Looks like a lovely day!
This is one I wish I could jump the pond for.
Looks great and I got one intend being there next year
Lovely iron caddy idea! Looks like a fun day!
Now that I’m not tied to school holds I’m planning to come soon!!!
