There was chunky rain falling yesterday. Chunky rain! Already! (And yes, I’m refusing to acknowledge what it’s really called because, early November!!!). Seriously though, it’s flipping freezing out there, I’m somewhat dreading this winter if this is how it’s kicking off… Anywho, chunky rain aside, I got to spend Saturday with my gran and an old friend of hers, learned never to hit The Fort 7 Saturdays before Christmas (although I finished the last of my Christmas shopping, so winning?), definitely learned never to hit M&S Cafe on a Saturday, and did some sewing plus a lot more unsewing (see Monday’s post for a video on how to use a seam ripper which was the side benefit of the unsewing). I hope you had a great week!
Finishes This Week:
Niet
In Progress This Week:
The bottom strip of this got ripped:
And then this QAYG panel got stitched, then FMQ-ed and then the FMQ got ripped. I was irked! Still as you can see it’s all out now and I’ll have another go tomorrow:
To Be Worked On This Week:
- Finish the QAYG panel
- Send in the pattern for the project I sent to QN last week (I thought I already had, oops!)
- Get a couple of other projects submitted
Hope you all have a great week, with no chunky rain!

If the Icelandic and Norwegians have zillions of words for snow , how many do we have for rain / chunky
Soft
Sore
Chunky Rain is the worst kind of rain and should never happen this early in the season. Hope it doesn’t mean this winter is going to be a hard one. BTW I got a chance to use the preferred method of using a seam ripper yesterday afternoon and thanks to your amazing tutorial it went much faster than I had even hoped for.
I would take some “chunky rain”. We’ve had lousy warm weather for fall here, tho the last few days have cooled off quite a bit–I think there was even frost last night. You finished your Christmas shopping!!?? (I’m at the “take stock and see where we’re at” point…which means somewhere in the middle–not counting hand made gifts) Getting some sewing in is great! Unsewing….uh….
Boo to chunky rain, and to unsewing! Yay to having finished Christmas shopping – I haven’t even started!
