It’s been an uppy downy kind of a week.  On the up side I got my Super Size Economy Block quilt finished on Wednesday night, and then on the down side I had a really horrible end to the week at work.  On Saturday the sun came out for the first time in forever and I walked out my frustrations a bit by walking into town and picking up a new toy (which I will show you shortly, I think it will revolutionise my pattern writing notes) and then I walked home again, a nice 5 1/2 mile round trip to air things out before I designed the next Quilt Now project and pulled fabrics and notions and things.  Sunday saw me doing my annual round with HMRC doing my tax return, I just love spending several hours of my day up to my eyeballs in receipts and spreadsheets…  I’m hoping for an upswing over the course of this week as I start sewing the QN project, please send lots of happy vibes!

Finishes This Week:

For those of you that might have missed Monday’s post, here’s my Super Size Economy Block quilt all finished.  It has a lovely Riley Blake aquaish light blue gingham flannel on the back to make it all snuggly, and I used the remnants of the middle squares in the blocks to make a scrappy binding:

In Progress This Week:

This is my outer fabric pull, along with my hardware for my next Quilt Now project.  I’m looking forward to working with the new faux leather strapping from U Handbag:

To Be Worked On This Week:

  • Finishing my QN project
  • Finally getting to my work handbag that I’ve threatened for a few weeks
  • Trying to get some pattern write ups done (I haven’t forgotten Lesley, honest!)

Hope you all have a great week!
