Well that was quite the week last week!  The first Thistle Patch Retreat sold out in 5 days, so I’ve been busy sorting out all sorts of things off the back of that.  I might have been getting a little overexcited (given that it’s in November) so I’ve already started planning details that don’t need to be planned until, oooh, October or so ;o)  I’m just being a good Girl Guide…

Anywho, in amongst that excitement I did some bee block sewing – having been ahead of the gang I’m now a bit behind, so it’s time to start ploughing through them.  Don’t laugh, but I actually realised I didn’t have enough zips for my QN project, so I had to order some more that arrived yesterday (that whole plan to order the rainbow a few weeks ago was grand, right up until I realised I needed more than one of some colours!)  I also had my first beginner sewing class of the year on Monday night, my 9 little ducklings had a ball learning how to thread a machine, wind a bobbin, sew a seam with a seam allowance and try every single stitch on the class machines (thankfully there’s only 30!)  Hope you all had a great week!

Finishes This Week:

In Progress This Week:

There are approximately eleventy billion pieces in this bee block, so I’ve spent a looooong time cutting teeny tiny pieces that will finish at all of 1″ square.  There’s some big bits too, but mostly nearly 250 teeny tiny squares.  I now have millions of teeny tiny pinwheels that I’m slowly trimming:

This little lot got about 2 steps further down their road to the next Quilt Now project, before I ran out of zips:

To Be Worked On This Week:

  • Pinwheel myself to the end of the Brit Bee block
  • Use those newly arrived zips
  • Host a little of Quilt Non

Hope you all have a great week!
