It’s been an odd week. I’m still feeling… I don’t know, disenfranchised perhaps after last week? It’s hard to describe and hard to work through, and intensely irritating! I sewed a bit, sorted out new bits and pieces, and shopped a bit in the Remnant Kings sale (it would have been rude not to, and hello, it’s council tax free month, so free spending money!) I have frozen my posterior off chipping ice off the windscreen in my gym gear (those leggings are not warm!), got soaked through forcing myself on my lunchtime walks round the block (which is actually a 2 mile loop) I have lots of ideas of things I want to do, but yet no motivation to get up and do them. I hope this passes quickly…
Anyway, I hope you’ve all had a lovely week, especially if you were lucky enough to attend the first Thread House Retreat, it looked on IG like loads of fun.
Finishes This Week:
My new setting tool, dies and hardware found a new home (the wee boxes are not all filled, there are about 50% labelled in anticipation!)
In Progress This Week:
This little pile is now mostly bag shaped, although I needed a bit of a ponder at one point to move it along a bit:
And this little lot arrived. There’s over 100 zips there from a sale at Weaver Dee – they were only 33p each even up to the 24″ ones!!! Jack’s in a bit over his head, but we’ll be sorting these this week. Unfortunately Ikea has stopped selling the hooks with clamps that I hung my zips on the door on, so now I’m waiting on a delivery of some from eBay.
To Be Worked On This Week:
- Finishing the bag
- Typing up some patterns
- Finding my sewjo
Hope you all have a lovely week.
Perhaps getting that windscreen removed from the rear of your gym gear would help you to recover your mojo!
I’ve lost my sewjo as well and have no good reason for it other than this nasty weather has dulled me to the point that all I feel like doing is wrapping up in a quilt and binge watching just about anything on Netflix. I’m sharing this with you so you don’t feel so all alone whilst in this slump or whatever it is. :0) At least it sounds like you’re making an effort to get back on track. Love the pile of zips. They really are colorful.
I hope next week is better x
When you say last week are you talking about all the horrible things that happened with the new US President (I don’t even want to type his name.) If so, I am in the same boat as you and have lost my sewjo over it as well. :/
disenfranchised .. that is a funny word. This could mean anything and/or might be a great new start. A 2 mile loop is awesome! Perfect to give the brain a break
