I’ve been told it’s summer here, I mean the roads are now beautifully empty at commuter time because the schools are off, but ugh, it’s cold and wet, it’s more like March! I’m even typing this in a fleece… Anyway, bad weather means guilt-free sewing time, right? This weekend I did about 75% of a new QN pattern, and then I turned my attention to my somewhat neglected Brit Bee blocks, only 4 left to finish by, er, last June. It’s okay, I’m not the most behind ;o) How about you, have you been frolicking in the sun, or hiding in your sewing room?
Finishes This Week
This Brit Bee block was designed by Ceri, and is for the lovely Jude who chose are really nice colour combo:
This little lot is the next QN project, like it? ;o)
In Progress This Week:
Having finished my other projects, last night I turned my attention to this little pile that I picked up from The Works after a tip off from Ange, so now I’m contemplating what I could do next:
To Be Worked On This Week:
- Next QN project (I’m on a roll, and hoping to get a good few months ahead of myself before I go on holiday!)
- Something from one of those books
- Maybe a fabric pull for the next Brit Bee block…
Hope you all have a great week!
Gorgeous job on Judes block! And i took in that works offer too…. lol
The month of June for the most part was cool and felt more like April. Now that it’s July things are really heating up. The only time the work room is cool enough to do any sewing is very early morning. I’m usually spending the cooler time in the garden so very little sewing is being done.
The color combo is perfect for the Brit Block.
Don’t rub it in – I’ve still got a few days of battleing yummy mmmies on the school run before our lot break up! Love the fabrics for the new project. PS have played with my wallpaper roller … love it
