Apologies for anyone who saw peculiar things on my site yesterday, I had a good plugin go rogue on me with some errant spaces so I spent last night fixing my site instead of sewing like I wanted to :o( It’s not been a particularly good week at the day job so far, so perhaps I should have expected it! On Monday morning I managed to flood the shower room in the office (there was a blocked drain as it turned out) and then yesterday seemed to be a combination of people demanding the impossible and those being incredibly dense. I am hoping for the remainder of the week to either get better, or to fly past incredibly quickly so I can get to the weekend again…
Last weekend I did quite a lot of batch cooking, and got some more work done on my new KLT quilt, so I’m hoping this weekend may mean more sewing with some cool new materials for some upcoming magazine projects, and then a bit more KLT.
Finishes This Week:
My patience! Well, at work anyway… Got pretty close to the end of my tether too.
In Progress This Week:
So my quilt made from Karen Lewis Textiles’ Blueberry Park line has progressed this week. For the ‘blocks’ I took my initial inspiration from the book Quilts Du Jour by Marny Buck and Jill Guffy and I’ve been having fun seeing how many ways I can shuffle around 4 basic shapes as well as juggling the rainbow graduation. Because the rainbow is going on the diagonal, I’ve started in the top left hand corner and am working from there:
To Be Worked On This Week:
- 2 new QN projects
- More of the KLT quilt
- Finding both patience and the end of my rope again…
Hope you all have a great week!
The KLT quilt is shaping up quite nicely. The Blueberry Park collection is the perfect choice for something like this. As soon as I can free up some time and can get to the fabric store for some white fabric it would be fun to try my hand at something similar as this would make for a fantastic new summer weight quilt.
Let’s hope things turn themselves around and the remainder of your week gets better than the bumpy beginning. Good luck with finding patience and the end of you rope. ;o)
I love this idea! This’ll be beautiful!
That’s going to be fab! Hope the rest of the week improved!
