Well I thought I was being all efficient this week getting my QN project made and written up and posted all in a weekend, and also getting my Glam Clam quilt all planned out and getting a load of paper piecing patterns cut out and… yeah, I totally forgot to post on Monday.  That’ll learn me!  This weekend was also my gran’s 93rd birthday, so we took her out shopping, whizzing her round Braehead shopping centre in a wheelchair thanks to Shopmobility (faster than she’s gone in years lol) and I got her a new birthday outfit that she wore that night when we went out for dinner.  The whole restaurant sang her happy birthday when the waitress surprised her with a wee cake :o)

Finishes This Week:

This is the most I can show you of the completed QN project I’m afraid, coming to a magazine near you soon!

In Progress This Week:

On Thursday last week I carted all my giant clamshells into work, thinking I could use the floor space behind my desk to do a sneaky layout early in the morning, but then I ran out of space (and time) so ended up borrowing a meeting room at lunchtime so I could get everything laid out.  Now I just need to cut the navy edge pieces and I’ll be ready to sew, although I think that will be my Christmas holiday project.  The pieces here are from a bundle of Picnic by Melody Miller for Cotton + Steel and also the coloured basics bundles that came out when C+S launched at Market in 2014.  I’d been hoarding them for the right project, I think I’ve picked a good one :o)

I’ve cut out the paper foundations for lots of little Tomtes and their backgrounds so now I need to work out how to use this little bundle of Christmas C+S scraps to make them into something:

To Be Worked On This Week:

  • Tomte-ing scraps
  • Maybe making some of the new Minikins patterns from Sara at Sew Sweetness

Hope you all have a great week!
