Do you ever have one of those moments where you confidently sew a while pile of things together, then realise that you should have done the very first step differently, so you’d have to rip it all out again? That happened to me on Sunday morning, so the whole thing got put in time out while I built a Lego London Bus instead (and yes dad, I built Chicago a couple of weeks ago!). I was day jobbing on Friday night and Saturday, but I did get a couple of QN projects worked on on Saturday night. I was trying to finish my not-so mini from last weekend, but I want to tie it, and realised after I prepped it all that I didn’t actually have any appropriate thread. I think it was just one of those weekends! As you read this I’ll be sitting through the first part of a 2 day workshop at the day job, think of me as I try not to nod off ;o)
Anywho, on the bright side, tickets for this year’s Thistle Patch Retreat went on sale on Monday, check out this page if you fancy a trip to the Highlands in November :o)
Finishes This Week:
These are part of a bigger project (there’s actually a 3rd one not pictured), the majority of which got put in the time out on Sunday, but done is done!
In Progress This Week:
This got its backing and batting added, it’s just waiting to be tied:
To Be Worked On This Week:
- An outing with friends to New Lanark
- Tying the not-so-mini with the thread that is in the post
- Getting the QN project out of time out and rescuing it
Hope you have a great week!
In answer to your question about having a moment where you confidently sew a pile of things together……? The answer is yes. With me it was the second step. It also happened to me on Sunday morning. Let’s hope we don’t repeat that little flubup anytime soon.
