Remember how I told you I was all done with the European Championships and would be getting a break last weekend?  Well, turns out I was wrong – I got an emergency e-mail around 9:30 on Saturday night saying that they were desperate for people to work on the cycling road race through the city centre, so could I just be there at 6:15 the next morning.  Which I did, had a fun day and caught a chest infection…  I suppose that’s what happens when you sit in the cold and rain all day!  Anywho, I did get some sewing done before that so I have another completed top to join the ‘to be quilted’ queue, my August Rainbow Triangle BOM blocks done, and dug out the bag I was procrastinating on a while back.  I had one of those moments of genius when I realised that I didn’t need to do the flap first, which is where I’m having the mental block, so I started making up the other bits, or at least I had started before I got hijacked by the road cycling.  This coming weekend we have our mad company Ironman challenge for the company charity which I’m driving a support vehicle for.  The charity provides support to children who live or go to school within a 10 mile radius of one of our offices, and we supply things such as wheelchairs, trikes, iPads etc to those who need additional aids to get through life.  If you’re feeling generous, and want to help, we have a Just Giving page for the challenge here.

Finishes This Week:

I’m going to claim this top as a finish, since I don’t know when I’ll get it quilted!
